girls clothing store closing

Big news in the world of Tween clothing!

‘Tween clothing brand Justice will be closing all locations by early 2021.

That’s right. Justice, the one-stop-shop for the cutest & most on-trend styles in tween girls’ clothing, is closing all of its retail stores after the holidays and switching to an online-only platform.

We first shared the news of Justice closing most of its brick-and-mortar stores due to its parent company’s bankruptcy back in July. Now, all remaining locations will be closing their doors.

Stores are expected to sell out quickly.

Starting immediately, Justice is offering total inventory blowout deals in-stores and online.

When the first round of stores closed in July, shoppers were fast to grab the great deals and merchandise sold out quickly so if you’re interested and still have a store nearby, it may be a great idea to go now!

Keep in mind that all sales are final and Justice is not accepting returns. Also, the discounts typically increase as the store gets closer to closing. It may be fun to keep checking back at your local Justice until it is closed.

Black Friday and Doorbuster deals are still happening online!

The good news is that Justice did announce that they will remain an online retailer.

Through December 24th, Justice is offering sales including Black Fri-Yay with discounts up to 70% on select items. Plus, they’ve consistently offered 50-60% off clearance deals online and free shipping at just $25!

If you have a tween girl and shop at Justice, this may be a good time to shop & save on outfits, clothing & accessory items for the year ahead.

If anyone has any Justice coupons that will go unused I would love to use them towards a few gifts for my girls! Thanks in advance!! jennaluo20 at gmail dot com

I’m low key excited about this. The quality went way way down and I have spent way to much $$there. Thankfully my daughter was getting out of it too.

    • annethao

I agree. Bought my girls puffer coats last year and this year. The quality this year was terrible, so thin compared to last year.

  3. Sue

I’m disappointed because it’s 1 less store for my daughter to shop at. She likes to go in stores and look at clothes. Crazy 8 closed. Now Justice. I have no Childrens Place near me anymore. My local jcpenneys, macy and tj maxx have really small kids sections with no selection. All we have left is Target and Kohls.

Do you have any secondhand stores? We have once upon a child and tiny town here in Michigan. Terrible for reselling but great for girls (and boys). Mine are 7&8 and we let them go in and pick out their own. For the prices, the clothing is in great condition.

    • Lynn

Sue, I am sorry for your disappointment, but now would be a good time to practice gratitude, like having the money to even shop at all those stores, especially given that with covid, people are out of work, sick and dying!

      • Cami

So glad the gratitude police are out and about. You guys hang out with the grammar police by any chance?

        • jodihodgsonmillsap

My thoughts exactly, always that one person that has to turn someone else’s comment into something it’s not. I agree Sue, my girls enjoyed Justice stores. We had 3 near us that all closed at the same time.

Where did she say she wasn’t grateful that she has a job? Or even that she even can still afford to go shopping ? I loved the bonding experience of going shopping with my girls when they were younger and it led to us being closer through the teen years. They enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. I would be sad if there were no remaining retailers for my daughters and I to go to after the pandemic is over, and yes, it will end. We can still be sad for those out of work, those who have become sick or passed away, while still mourning the loss of everyday activities and the little things like shopping with your girls. To the OP, hopefully you find other options or other hobbies they enjoy. Most of the places my girls and I used to go have closed now as well. I always thought I would go with my grandchildren some day. 🥺 Shopping online isn’t the same and can be a hassle with sizes, fit, inaccurate colors and descriptions. Please, just let people have their feelings and opinions without more lectures.

        • Susan

Exactly, I’m sure the people who lost their jobs are not worried about being grateful, it’s sad to see people lose their jobs. Many of us have stores we like to shop in (in person), and there is nothing wrong with being disappointed. It’s not a time to lecture.

          no

          • Unicorn Blakey Oreos

hey I used to take my 8 year old daughter there she is very disapointed about what happend.

    • Susan

Sue, I understand what you’re saying. We have had a lot of different stores close in our area…..from Pet Valu to multiple clothing stores. It’s disappointing because it’s nice to look at things in person. It’s also sad seeing so many people lose their jobs.

Everything I’ve read says they are not staying open online. Where is this info? I heard They were bought out and will be found in stores like TJ Maxx. My daughter is devastated.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You can read about that here.

I’m so sad with Justice! My daughter loves their clothes but when they have an online sale her size (14) is always sold out😞

I’m grateful that my husband still has a job and my daughters too, but, praying and staying home, not all the time since, I have to do grocery shopping – and that through my couponing, I had plenty to share with my family & neighbor’s and relatives that are in Mexico, and to be able to give away things to people that need the items – I’m leaving tomorrow to take some clothes that my daughters don’t need anymore, sanitizers and grocery’s, and tissue paper, we are so blessed, and hoping that some stores open and this virus be over – I have a special needs daughter she is on a wheel chair and she needs a distraction, she has had episodes of screaming because, she needs interaction – so, for now, I just put her in the car and take her for a ride – to visit the grand parents from far but, been able to take her out to get a milk shake or a hamburger is a blessing , thanks for the tips on how to save!

I rcvd a coupon for 20 of a $20 purchase!!!! All my stores have closed. I was able to get pants, a shirt, earrings, necklaces, a bunch of stocking stuffers at about $1-$3 a piece!!! They have a lot of clothes marked down to $2! I only pd for shipping! 🙂 I still have my daughters bday coupon too! ($20 off $40)

  8. Evie

Gratitude for thin coats and clothing that falls apart? Children need to be warm in the winter.
Why dont they simply open more clothing makers in the USA.
We were promised better quality and lower prices with globalization.
By using coupons and discounts and good research we can buy better quality! You even save money by not having to replace nonesense!

  9. cheryl

i hope they stay open online long enough for my granddaughter to use the 100 dollars worth of gift cards i got her for christmas

  10. Tia

Wow my kids love this store I don’t even know how to tell them this is heart breaking

  11. Luz Galindo

My daughter is plus size this was the only store I can found nice little girl clothes the fit her right 😔😔😔

  12. RVK

I understand the online store is undergoing a transformation through their acquisition. But does anyone know if/when a shopping site will be available and if these Justice giftcards are redeemable there or under another brand?

    • Sue

I bought my grand daughter a gift card, and I just found our today that they closed now she has got the card yesterday and cannot use it., what am I supposed to do I spent a lot of money on that and I cannot afford to loose the money, as on a pension. Please help

      • Teresa

They are open online , not much of a selection ! Maybe eventually they will add more inventory

    • Vera

Justice emailed me that no so sorry we’re just out of luck. I can copy and paste our emails. They give no recourse or any option.

    This store sucks

I am discomfurted by this annoucment, my opion is no. I have a pettiton at my daycare that I want 300 signitures. JUSTICE FOR JUSTICE. #freedom #savejustice #graditude #freecovidandjustic #LIVELAUGHLOVE

  15. Vera

They are not going to let my daughter use the 4 gift cards she received as presents. How do tell a child saving is actually for chumps and that “no expiration date” clearly stated on each card was just a joke. I know it’s not the biggest deal in the world. But she was saving up . . .trying to wait for sales and maximize savings. Just so “Justice” (irony of name) can take our cash and send us down the river all while getting bailed out on bankruptcy. Pitiful

I have emails back and forth showing they offer no recourse. Just lost that cash. Robbery
