Do I have to put in credit card info?
No, you should not have to enter any credit card information.
Only if you get one of the magazines that has a cost associated with it ($0.99, $2.00, etc.).
RIght. And I believe Good Housekeeping is one — not free
I’ve used them for years for free magazines. Never been charged a dime. No auto renewals. No credit card info.
I can’t continue to order the free magazines until I sign up for at least one $2 subscription to another magazine.
No, don’t do that. You can X out of that screen.
Are they mailed issues or digital subscription? My library has digital magazines, so if digital I’d rather not bother. Thanks!
These are mailed to you, Gina!
Most of the magazines now have a .99 or $2.00 service charge. We have almost 2000 points and have not ordered in a long time because of this. Even Good Housekeeping is showing .99 for me.
I am seeing the same charges when I am in final stages of checkout.
Hi there! It looks like existing members may have a charge for select titles. I’m still finding all the magazines listed in the post to be 100% free for new members, however. Hope that helps!
I will also not put in my CC information for these surcharges. They will just continue to bill you and renew if they get your CC info. I have had so many bad experiences over the many years on trying to cancel subscriptions where they have your CC information…..for both business and personal.
They will tell you they cancelled it, and later in the next few months, the charges pop back up.
Sometimes it isn’t worth it. JMO and past experience.
I agree! Have not ordered from them for over a year.
Same here! They were free at the beginning but then these odd charges started to show up. Same like others, I don’t order anymore.
Good Housekeeping shows .99 for me.
I realize that the title of this post is already quite long, but it would be helpful if you listed that this is for new member’s only. Thanks for all you ladies do! 🙂
You’re so welcome, Colleen! Thanks a bunch for the feedback and request! The post has been updated!
Im an existing member and scored in style free.
I’ve been getting these magazines free for years. I’ve been waiting on Good Housekeeping. Thanks!
You’re welcome, Allison!
If you put in your cc information to pay the surcharge, you are signing up for auto renew. At the main price. Thanks but no.
Hi there! You can click on the small x in the corner of that offer to decline. You will still then just be signing up for the free subscription offer. Hoping that helps!
I’m been a member for several years and was able to get the following subs for free: Health, Town & Country, Parents, Golf, and Shape. I hope this is helpful for someone! 🙂
Not a good selection of magazines this time
Same here! They were free at the beginning but then these odd charges started to show up. Same like others, I don’t order anymore.
I have been doing this for years, but now most of the magazines cost money. I have more than $5000 in rewards points, but can’t use them because I refuse to pay money for the magazines. Selection used to be better, too. Now they offer more of the obscure audio books.
I had 70 dollars worth of credit, but they wanted to charge me 6.97 at the end of the ” free” subscriptions.. and I chose all free offers. Used this website in the past and had no problems, not happy with it charging for magazines previously free to previous members.
If you ordered before, they want to charge.
Humm, there are some things I buy. They must have good content and be worth reading.
Not paying for cultural lectures, pharma ads, excessive receipts.
I think some should pay me, but I just ignore or skip over.
did not work…..
Hi, jeff! What did you have trouble with? I just followed the instructions in our post and it worked for me.
