Does anyone know why switch controllers drift?
I don’t know what causes it, but they will repair it for free. There’s information online on how to initiate the repair process. We did it a few weeks ago, and now have working joycons. 🙂
Have they started again? We looked into it a few months ago but they had stopped accepting controllers due to COVID.
We sent one of ours in and recirculation a new one rather quickly just a few days ago.
My kids’ did & they watched YouTube videos how to clean them & I bought an inexpensive replacement part on Amazon

What do you mean by drift? My girls just got a switch for Christmas
I wish nintendo would just recall these things and get it over with. The process for getting a replacement was frustrating for us. I had to sit on the phone with support trying all the little tests they made me do but they did fix it, you send it in and they repair it and send it back. They pay all postage.
Does anyone know how long it takes for repair?
Ours was less than 2 weeks for 4.
These are also available in store at this price in the Russellville, Arkansas stores (Walmart). We grabbed some as we were passing through at the end of the year. It may be worth checking other locations.
