most of the welgreen at NH cancel your free items like this even you buy at store and pick up at stores. The store manager said I won’t let you use the coupon and cancel it.

Oh, that’s crazy! I’m so sorry that they do that. I’ve never heard of that!

I’m sorry to hear that. Go around the manager by doing a free ship-to-store. In the email telling you that it is ready to pick up you will get a coupon for 25% off regular priced items used at the time of pickup; paired with manufacturers coupons it is well worth the trouble. Ship to store orders are marked do not open. Since you have already paid for it tell the store manager you will have quite the discussion with corporate and the district manager if he refuses to give it to you. I bought some probiotic gummies with the $8 coupon plus a $3 MyWalgreens coupon plus $2 MyWalgreens cash. Total of a penny OOP good luck

just last week I bought revalon sharpener and shampoo online and pick it up store. when I received a text message of my order is ready to pick up , I went there but revalon sharpener is not at there, then the store manager check my order and he said it a free item with coupon, it’s out of stock. so I can cancel it. But when I get home and check the item on the app, they still have 4 of them. last two month ago, It was happen on colgate toothpaste at store purchase too.

Do you know if Walgreens has any grace period on expiration dates on their register rewards coupons? I have one for $2.50 that expires today that I didn’t get back to use🙁 could I use it tomorrow?

Is it from a manufacturer—that is does it say courtesy of P&G or courtesy of Unilever? If so than there’s no chance at all since the manufacturer won’t pay Walgreens. If it is directly from Walgreens there is a very slim possibility they might give you something if you talk to the store manager. It wouldn’t be store policy to do so though. Nothing lost in asking.

Every time an item is posted for “free” they get canceled. “Out of stock” is the standard answer.

Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.(from their coupon policy)
If it’s considered an in store purchase than they could cancel. Something under the value of a coupon will not work in store. Online yes it will. Stick with ship to store or ship to home if something is under the price of a coupon.

I’m so sorry, Lisa! We are hearing back from readers that they are able to score these deals so it might just be your store. Have you tried a different one just to test it out?

A warning on trying to do an instore deal on items priced under the $8 coupon. Walgreens in store does NOT adjust coupons downward.
Here it is directly from the coupon policy: Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.
Now that being said online prices for ship to home and ship to store DO adjust downward in my experience. A store pickup is really new so I don’t have personal experience trying this scenario out. My advice is to do a ship to store, take advantage of the 25% off full priced items in the pickup email and avoid the hassle. If the store manager is treating it as a store pickup being under the same rules as a regular instore purchase than the rule above is going to apply.

Sometimes the Walgreens app is flaky and it takes patience to use it. Not the friendliest but I always get my freebies for store pickup.Prices are higher in store, they don’t price match unless you know the manager well. Also they give you a hard time or the register won’t take the coupon if it’s under even by a penny.

  7. Brenda

Is anyone getting the 8.00 coupon to work on the Phillips fiber gummies? It’s not working for me. Thanks

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Brenda! Yes! That offer is still working for me on the gummies. I was able to grab the offer on the product page. Hope this helps!

      • Brenda

Thank you all so much, got it to work on the desktop. 1.79 woo who what a deal. 🙂

        • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You are so welcome! Glad you were able to score it!

    • ccmama03

I got the gummies to work with both the $3 and $8 coupons. Also code QUICK20. Out of pocket $2 in Michigan

      • ccmama03

Sorry – I had to do this on the desktop as the $8 kept getting removed in the app

I used the $8 and $3 coupons plus $2 in MyWalgreens cash for a total bill of two cents. Don’t use the FSA code as that messes up the deal. Switch to a browser on a computer or on your phone if the site is fickle.

Oops it was a cent. Check yesterday’s Sunday newspaper for the $8 coupon. The $3 is in the Monthly Savings Book
