My 5-star rating is based on the fact that after much research (read: obsessive amounts of research) and I’m convinced this is by far the best portable basketball hoop in this price range. I bought this for my kids about 2 months ago. It does take about 2-3 hours to assemble, and you’ll definitely want the occasional extra set of hands to help out. I also used some sawhorses for when I attached the backboard to the pole. Tedious to assemble, yes. Impossible, not even close. My kids have been loving it!!
Great portable basketball hoop so far. I was going to spend a little more because typically the cheap hoops have flimsy backboards and rims but this one isn’t too bad. Assembly wasn’t bad at all. The instructions were well written and I was able to assemble the hoop all by myself in about 3 hours (coming from a guy that is not handy).
