Bought this for my wife because she makes smoothies every day. She had had 3 other brands and they all underperformed and frustrated her. So we splurged on this and she has been raving about it to everyone. It makes everything so smooth, unlike previous blenders. If you use a blender often then it’s worth it.
Wow! I’ve gone through a few blenders in my life, looking for a machine that could puree my smoothies like the smoothie shops. I could never bring myself to spending hundreds of dollars on a Vitamix or Blendtec, but I wished I had sooner. It would have saved me money all these years on lesser machines and have worked right.
The last 10 years I’ve had a Ninja, but after just my first trial smoothie on this Vitamix, the Ninja is getting donated. My benchmark is how well the machine purees a smoothie with kale and its stems. This Vitamix blends it so fine, you can barely see any kale flecks.

Check out Costco before you buy. Not exactly the same model, but the one at Costco has 2 cups with lids for $299.
Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful suggestion, Riss!
Yes, I second this recommendation. I already have this model from about 6 years ago so I don’t need another otherwise I would get the one at Costco.🌸
This is the best blender to buy! Always buy the most powerful! Anything under 1200 hp, or watts is a waste!
