Thank you so much for posting this! Some theaters are playing movies this week!!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome, Laura!

  2. Christie

I am soo extremely bummed that we won’t have this near us this year. None of the Regal’s near me in OH are participating… UGH Thank you for posting though H2S it is always a special event each week for the kids.

I was so looking forward to these this summer, but I’m
In Ohio too. I don’t get why they aren’t doing them here. They only have some $5 ones.

    • Jessica

Count your blessings. Hundreds of kids crammed into movie theaters? No thanks.

      • Laura

That’s the point though. Younger kids get a chance to see a theatre movie without 50 other people complaining or griping about the kids being in there.

    • Desiree

We’re in Ohio too and also disappointed. E-mail Regal and let them know how disappointed you are. They may add more theaters if they get enough feedback.

Some AMC theaters and also Studio Movie Grill locations have similar programs, too! AMC’s is $4 and includes a snack, same with SMG, but theirs is $6 for the movie and snacks.

      How fun! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Julie

Are they taking reservations or do you pay at the ticket counter?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Julie! In the past, you would pay at the counter. You could always call in to your location to see what options they may have available. Hope this helps!

I looked all over the Regal site and even tried calling our local theatre but I can’t find the showtimes anywhere. Only says its on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but no times.

Same here I’m wondering what time. I know the were at 10am one year…

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! When clicking through, be sure to scroll down just a bit and then click on “Print Full Movie Schedule”. There you will get a pop up of movie listings and dates. For the times, it seems that may vary by location. You could call in to your location and ask about the time for these $1 movies. For my area, they have always began at 10am. Hope this helps!

  6. Madre

We look forward to these movies every year. Unfortunately, all of the movies in my area are already booked. Guess we will try again next year. Good luck to those that are able to grab a seat!

  7. Melissa

Thanks for sharing! After seeing this I found our normal theater isn’t participating but one 20 miles away was and my husband is off this week, so it was a nice cheap family outing. Thank you!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! You’re so welcome!

I note on the Regal site that popcorn is half-off on Tuesdays. Kids, popcorn and a movie– a trifecta of fun!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      SWEET! Thanks for sharing!

  9. casey-4

Awesome! Been wanting to try our 4 year old in the theater setting! This is a perfect opportunity.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! These summer movies are a great way to introduce the movie theater experience!

  10. Lynne

Is there something you need to do differently when buying online? I click on the movie links and then the time, and then it just shows regular prices. Do you need to enter a code or something?

  11. Kelli

The 2022 schedule has just been posted!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thank you, Kelli!
