Yeah, I find it strange Walgreens charges tax on before coupon prices. I’m not sure how they do that bc it’s the only place I’ve shopped that does. But a great deal!

I think I can provide an explanation. If it is a true manufacturer’s coupon and you read the fine print on it it will say something like “you pay the sales tax”. The manufacturer pays Walgreens the amount of the coupon plus a handling fee but expressly says the customer pays the tax. Now an Amazon coupon or a store coupon is a reduction in price-no money goes in the merchant’s bank account so there is no sales tax because that money is nonexistent. That being said every state has a different tax code but In general that’s the difference.

I just ordered this for store pick up and the order went through fine. I just got an email that they canceled my order. I tried to do it again, but now it says the coupon is ‘not available at this time.’ 🙄🤔 Bummer!

Yes that’s part of their written coupon policy and very irritating. If you are in store and add a small item to your purchase the sale will usually go through but I can’t promise you for certain that it will.

What do you do with it? You still have to buy the oil. These are always free. I guess I could get it and donate it to the care channel along with all the food and other items that I get for free that we don’t use.
Kind of disappointed but can’t complain for it being only $0.24. I had thought a scent actually comes with it, but it’s literally just the plug. Oh well, still not a bad deal.

You could get 3 of the oils for it cheaply. Buy 3 refills at $4.99 each and earn $5 WC. Since it is a buy deal you could use either $5 or $10 WC to pay if you have it. If you used $10 in WC and paid $4.97 OOP, You would still get back $5 in WC. Not bad at all.

The offer will come around again from P & G. They do it fairly frequently. The newspaper insert from P &G is the last Sunday of the month and usually the Walgreens digitals mirror the paper. Just keep your eye out for it.
