I tried doing this last time and the gift card amount is charged separately to your target card. I ended up having to cancel the household items as they were not available at my location at pick up. I was told to use another location to get my household goods. I couldn’t so they refunded that amount the following week after me calling and questioning about the charges.
The gift card I was told is always charged that way. It was a mess with me still being confused in the end.
I didn’t see the benefit to this if it is always charged anyhow.
Anyone have any insight using their target card?

      Wait responded on wrong post…

Errr was for 10 dollar gift card on household goods purchase of 3 items at target
Don’t know why I misread this one as a rebate is different

Usually if the item at the store you ordered from is no available you can get it shipped for free if another store is not available.

I looks like the rebate is for $15 when you spend $50, not $20?

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you, JJ. The post has been updated.

has anyone had target cancel their drive up/pick up orders? it is so annoying target has cancelled my order maybe 5 times in the course of 2 mos. its so frustrating. when i called the store, the products were all in stock

Thanks for this! I had placed an order back in June that qualified so this is just surprise money. 😁 This was the first time I have done a rebate for a drive up order and had some trouble figuring out what they needed for the receipt and how to get it all to display in one file as required. If anyone else is trying to do this for the first time, just go to your order details and click on your browsers option button(three dots in the right hand corner for me on Chrome) to print a PDF. I kept trying to figure out a way to do it through the target site, including with screenshots. Don’t waste your time. Just print to file as a PDF and you are good.
