Happy Friday! Here’s How One Reader Snagged FREE Starbucks Coffee On Facebook
One Hip2Save reader is scoring free goods on Facebook! Here’s how!
If you’re a coffee lover, you know that a 40oz. bag of Starbucks French Roast can cost over $25 on Amazon. This week’s Happy Friday reader Terri was able to save her cash and score a giant bag of whole bean Starbucks coffee for FREE! She won this freebie in a Facebook group where they give away all sorts of items at no cost! 🙌
I belong to a “Buy Nothing” Facebook group in my neighborhood. It is a group where members give things away for free.
Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to be chosen for a brand new, unopened bag (40 oz, 2.5 lbs.) of Starbucks French Roast Coffee, Best Before date: 07/20/23! By searching on Facebook, “Buy Nothing”, hopefully a group has been established in your area that you can join.
What a great find, Terri! We really appreciate this helpful tip on how to find FREE items on Facebook! I just used your advice and searched for a “Buy Nothing” group near me and found a ton of groups in my area! I spotted people giving away items like a full length mirror, cowboy boots, a crystal vase, and a gorgeous office desk. 😍 I’ll definitely be searching these groups in the future!
Here are some additional ways to score FREE items…
Our whole team LOVES finding free stuff. Another place on Facebook that often has free items is Facebook Marketplace. Several team members have even given away items on there! I recently gave away a table and chairs on Facebook Marketplace and Hip2Save’s Emily gave away her old couch.
Emily also shared that she freshens her wardrobe for free by hosting a clothing swap with her family and friends! If you want to host your own swap you can exchange clothing or other items like books, toys, costume jewelry, or knitting yarn. It’s super easy to do and a whole lot of fun!
Thanks again for the great money-saving tip, Terri! We hope you and the rest of our readers find more great freebies soon! 🥰

Facebook Marketplace and Freecycle are life savers right now. With all the tornado damage in my area so many people have to find another place to live. My daughters apartments were damaged beyond repair so she had to find another apartment, pay deposit, rent, then deposit on utilities etc. It was a nightmare. She got some of her furniture but some of it was so water damaged it was not savable. She managed to find replacement furniture from friends and myself. Trying to restart your life after a tornado is not fun. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome. ❤️Thank YOU for sharing about your daughter’s experience. Good to know Facebook Marketplace has been helpful for her too. 🙌 Super happy she’s okay and is getting settled into her new place. 💕
Personally, I have found the quality of items offered on Buy Nothing better for the most part. And members are open regarding any damage & often offer those items with a lot of damage as “project” items, so you really know what you are getting. I’ve also made some friends along the way.
Thanks for sharing your experience and quality of the items you’ve seen offered, Bonnie! 🤗 Glad that you have made some friends along the way too! 🥰
