I know there have been problems with the trading posts in the past and there are probably still dishonest trades happening, but I wanted to thank you for continuing to add this post each morning. I have been able to find some awesome readers to trade various codes or rewards with that I wasn’t going to be able to utilize myself. Can anyone recommend a good place to get paid for recycling used/empty ink cartridges?

Tara, OfficeMax/OfficeDepot has a “decent” cartridge recycling program. It is a bit confusing. When you turn your cartridges in ($2 per) you have to buy at least $10 of merchandise. You get the $2 credit per cartridge awarded quarterly. Again, not ideal, but at least you get something for the cartridges. Again, not ideal at all, but it is what it is.

You might consider eBay–search for your ink (sort by SOLD to see what people have paid) to see if people might pay you for empty cartridges and if it’s worth it to attempt to sell ;). Maybe wait until you have a few.
