Hostess Twinkies Are Coming Soon to a Cereal Aisle Near You
Start your morning right with a big bowl full of… Twinkies?! 🤔
We’ve been hearing rumors for a while that Post was planning to release a Hostess Twinkies cereal, and now the company has confirmed that this is really happening! According to a press release from the company, new Post Hostess Twinkies Cereal will start appearing on the shelves of grocery stores this December.
Post has proven that they can take pretty much any snack food and make it breakfast-ready, as evidenced by the brand’s Donettes and Honey Bun cereals (in-stores now). Although the Twinkies cereal is neither spongy nor cream-filled like the iconic Hostess treat, its flavor and tubular shape are meant to replicate that of the original golden cake.
Although there’s no official word on pricing for the Twinkies Cereal yet, the other Post Hostess Cereals are currently sold in 11- and 17-ounce boxes for $3.29 – $3.98 at retailers like Target and Walmart. To find a store near you carrying one of these Post Hostess Cereals, visit PostHostessCereal.com.

I sampled this a few months ago. It is….. interesting. It’s like a weird Corn Pop with a powdered sugar coating. We eventually threw it out because no one in my household was crazy about it.
These would make cute ideas for Elf on the Shelf. Last year I stayed up very late making teeny tiny pancakes for my Elf to present to my son – I hope the twinkie cereal is out on the shelves before Dec 1, if not this post has given me some ideas of other cereals I can use. Don’t ya all just love Elf on the Shelf and the tireless nights of thinking up ideas and preparing them because if you forget then your Elf gets all the blame, haha!! Someday I’ll look back with fondness I’m sure 🙂
How cute! Those mini pancakes must have been such a neat sight! Thanks for sharing with us, Barb!
I know Hip2save gets paid for promos like this and I respect that. You ladies work hard and bring us tons of fantastic bargains so cash that check for sure. But the cereal itself makes me feel 🤢. I don’t break ng cereal into the house because these days this is what most of it is. I’m not a Nazi, we have treats, but I hate how we are marketed something that is supposed to be a breakfast food that is based on a cake. When you have the actual cake you know what you are eating. Your kids know it is a treat and not an everyday food. But this is just sneaky sugar. Yeah, I know I’m going to get angry and defensive replies.
