I bought that exact Snoopy on his doghouse ornament a couple years ago from Penney’s. I had seen it at other stores including CVS, Walmart and Hallmark so I thought I knew what to expect when I ordered it from Penney’s at a discount, but the paint job was terrible and it didn’t come in an individual box like I’d seen at the other stores. Really disappointing quality.

Through the years I have found a frugal way to decorate our Christmas tree. I wait until the toy figure sets are on sale and place screw eyes in them then add fishing line (it’s virtually invisible and very durable) or ribbon. Our tree has quite the collection now since I started this with my first born who is in his twenties and it includes all their favorite characters and treasured childhood memories. I then purchase a sentimental ornament pertaining to that year for each child, a tradition we all look forward to each year!
