I have a new Sterlite tote that has a strong chemical smell. I am afraid to store anything in it that might retain this strong unpleasant odor. Has anyone else noticed this problem? And short of returning the tote, does anyone know of a way to eliminate this smell?
Crumple up newspaper to fill the bin and snap on the lid. If that doesn’t work, pour in some charcoal briquets or baking soda.

Love storage tote deals! Bought two big totes at Walmart. One even had wheels and a handle. I bought two of the red ornament containers at Dollar General. They had them for a $1.80 each. 😉
