Does anyone have this? Can you tell me about it? I’m thinking of getting it for my daughters 10th birthday.
I don’t have it but I do have a kindle for our kids and they love it.
My 5 year old twins have them and enjoy them. It depends what your 10 year old likes to do, but there is wifi and they can even get on youtube kids. My 10 yeat old says there are games to play but its a little too babyish for him.
I think amazon fire tablet is better.
My kids were just talking to me about this the other day, I hadn’t even heard of it. I would also like others input on it if they have it!
It is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we just got the 1st generation ones last fall on clearance for $25 each for all 3 of our kids ages 4 7 and 9. For the older model it was a perfect price and a great little toy. I will say it does not replace a tablet, we also have kindle tablets BUT it is a fun toy in it’s own way. If you have more then one it is really fun that they can “text” each other on it, it was a little bit more difficult then I’d hoped to set up to do texting but ultimately I got them all updated and set up on the first day. However it does advertise that parents can also text with them which I found to never actually work, the app you download to communicate with them is not at all reliable to send or receive messages however they never had an issue between their devices. There are tons of preset texts that read the texts outloud for our 4 year old with also the option to text freely for the older kids. There are games which were fun and youtube kids which gets used a bit, I would say overall if you were looking for a tablet this wouldn’t be our first choice but if you are looking for a fun device this one has good features. My kids enjoyed this much more then the vtech watch which my 7 year old got for her birthday the week before. I would mostly recommend for people with more then one kid or cousins to communicate with as most the unique features are fun for multiple devices. I have a samsung s9 plus and my kids love that their phone is roughly the same size as mine and feels like a phone in a bulky super protective case.
Thanks a ton for taking the time to leave a helpful review, Krystal!
I got the old version last year for my daughter and we can send each other messages no problem. She draws me pictures and sends them. It’s nice. When I go to the store and she home she sends me a list for her to pick up.
Too cute! Thanks for sharing!
