Dunkin’ Closing 450 Locations Inside Speedway Gas Stations
There’s big news for Dunkin’ fans!
Dunkin’ just announced that it is planning to permanently close 450 stores by the end of 2020. These stores are located within Speedway gas stations, which are mainly found on the east coast.
The closure is due to the end of their partnership with Hess, which is now owned by Speedway. But don’t despair, Dunkin’ will be shifting their efforts in these areas with their larger cafes.
“By exiting these sites, we are confident we will be better positioned to serve these trade areas with Dunkin’s newest Next Generation restaurant design that offers a broader menu and modern experience,” Kate Jaspon, Dunkin’s chief financial officer stated.
