Score awesome free rewards from Amazon!
Would you like to get rewarded for watching free movies with more free movies AND free snacks? Prime members can head on over to Amazon to enroll your account in Cheez-It Snap’d & Stream to do just that!
This free program offers a $5 Prime Video Credit and a $5 Amazon Cheez-It Credit for watching select Prime movies each month while supplies last. Come back each month to earn more!
This month’s movie selection offers fifteen action movies to choose from including Top Gun, Avengers, and Bumblebee.
Note that Non-Prime customers are also able to enroll in this program and purchase or rent a selection of titles from the Prime Video catalog to qualify for the free Amazon credits.
In order to qualify for the free credits, you must go here to enroll and add the movies to your watch list each month and stream 5 hours worth of qualifying free videos. The credits can be stacked, but they must be redeemed by January 31st.
Sounds like a no brainer if you enjoy Cheez-its and movies!
YAY! Thank you for this post 🙂
I have four college age kids and they will love this!
They sure will! Great idea sharing it with them!
Just signed up! Thank you!
Woohoo! You’re so welcome!
In order to watch the movies for free, do you have to be the primary account holder for the Prime membership? I am a “family” member who gets the free 2-day shipping for Prime, but not the benefits of free Prime Video, etc. So if I try to watch this month’s “free” movies that qualify for the 5 hours streaming, I would have to pay for them?
I’m a “family” member on the Prime account and I get the video benefits. Might need to set up though.
AWESOME!!! TFS! 😁
This is a really cool freebie for doing something we would probably do anyway! Thanks
That makes it doubly cool! You are soooo welcome, savvyshops!
Thanks!
You’re welcome!
Nice one, thanks for the heads up!
You bet!
Thanks
You bet!
Curious if you could watch 5 hours of the same title bc some of those can be rented for $3-4, which would still be a money maker and then you’d have the video credit to use the next month. 🤔
They’re all included with prime which means they are free
I cancelled prime years ago…..
What’s the smallest cheez-it product you can you the $5 credit for?
I don’t know what the smallest product is but after signing up it shows some eligible products and the cheapest one there are $12.18
You can save and stack the credit. If you participate in the promo next month, you will have another $5 and $5 credit. The credits won’t expire until 1/31/2021. I don’t know how many months the promo will be running, though.
Awesome thanks for the heads up! I’ll have to remember to sign up again next month.
You’re welcome!
It also says while supplies last so probably streaming should be done sooner rather than later.
Note: Not all movies are for prime videos.
How do you sign in to this on Amazon?
Hi Gail! Be sure to head through the link above and then click on “Enroll Now”. Hope that helps!
Has anyone received this yet? I watched 5+ hours of the selected movie and I’m waiting
Came here to say/ask the same!
Same here. I watched three movies yesterday. The promotion’s site says that there will be an email, but I haven’t received one.
Typically with these type of offers with Amazon it takes up to a week to get that email but usually it’s just a few days.
Received cheezit credit but no prime video credit
Same here, no prime video credit, but it says while supplies last. I wondered if that was why I got no prime video credit.
I received the email and got both the $5 Cheez it credit and the $5 prime video credit.
The bad thing is that you can only apply the Cheez it credit to select listings and the cheapest one is $9.09 + tax.
For the $5 prime video credit it says that “You won’t see the credit applied during checkout but the credit will be reflected in your email receipt.” which i will be worried to be charged to my card if I cant see the credit applied during checkout
If you go to any Prime Video and select “more purchase options” > “redeem a gift card or promo code,” you can see your prime video credit balance. The system automatically applies those credits first if you buy or rent videos.
I was wondering the same thing. We have watched 3 movies. I always seem to have a problem with Amazon promotions like this and end up having to contact customer service, which isn’t good like it used to be,
I called amazon today and their system was showing some of the movies I watched were only watched for a few seconds and some they didn’t even show I watched at all. This was concerning as I watched four full movies this weekend from the list. The only thing I can think of is I paused the movies a few times and maybe it only counts if you watch continuously?
Did Amazon offer to do anything to make this situation right? How did they leave it with you?
They said I should give it 72 hours from today for the email and if not, call back.
I just got off of chat with their crappy customer service. An hour wasted, transferred 3 times, just to be told that they’re experiencing a delay in the email credits and to give it a few hours to a few days to receive the email 🤦♀️.
I don’t know why I even bother with these promotions anymore. This happens every time.
I also tried chatting with them last night…over 2 hours and several different representatives. It was really disappointing, some of the reps would simply leave the chat with no warning, and I had to wait for someone else to come on. They didn’t seem to understand the problem at all and just kept saying that everything would be fine.
I think there is something inherently wrong with the way the system is “tracking” our enrollment and the hours/time we’ve watched the movies. The website still always has the “enroll now” button available when I visit it, even if I’ve already clicked it before. So I don’t think it is correctly recording that I’ve enrolled this month nor properly tracking when I do stream the qualifying videos.
Spent another 20 minutes with customer service because I got the Cheez-it credit (I could care less as we don’t eat them) but never got the video credit. Basically unhelpful again…He just said he would email the promotions team and I should get a response within 24 to 48 hours. I have a feeling this isn’t the end of my lovely chats with customer service. Amazon used to empower their associates and let them issue credits and problem solve without transferring to different departments .
I’ll gladly take your Cheeze it credit if you don’t end up using it lol! I have 3 kids and we love snacks. I did the promotion right away….never got an email or anything, pretty disappointing.. not sure what happened .
Wonder if we can swap I have no use for the video credit! But the cheeze it credit is what I’m after lol hahahahah
Same experience. Amazon CS was unhelpful. The first rep transferred me to an Amazon Prime Video rep, but the rep didn’t offer me anything other than to say that if I didn’t receive an email with the credit within 72 hours that the system decided I wasn’t eligible this month for some reason and just to “try again next month.”
I’ve been wondering how long it takes to get the email as well – watched 3 movies between yesterday and today and 2 were over 2 hours and 1 just under so well over 5 hours.
I’m wondering if the system is even properly identifying that I’ve enrolled and tracking my hours…? Every time I visit the webpage, the “enroll now” button is “clickable” (like I hadn’t clicked it previously), so I’m worried it isn’t recording that I’ve enrolled even though I’ve clicked that button several times now? But every time I navigate away from the page to watch my movies, when I return to the page, the “enroll now” button is once again “clickable”. Is anyone else having this issue?
I’ve watched over 5 hours already, but haven’t received any email or credit… I’m definitely wondering if it is working properly for me.
Yes, I am having the exact same experience.
Yep. Us too.
Connected customer service the rep. applied Amazon Prime Video credit. Took less than 5mins.
Same here, i’ve watched about every movie on the list and still no email. Also seeing the enroll now button every time.
Hmm, maybe try checking your spam or junk folders of your email. If you still don’t find it, maybe double check with customer service. Hoping this is helpful!
I got the email reward today for Cheez-Its. It didn’t say anything about the $5 video credit, and I’m not sure if it automatically applied since I don’t know how much my account had before.
Hmm, Here is what I found in the details – “Customer will receive an e-mail from Amazon that indicates the dollar amount of the promotional credit and that the dollar amount of the credit has been added to the customer account. The e-mail will also provide instructions on how to redeem the promotional credit.”
You could always try chatting with customer service to see if they may be able to help.
Having the same problem as others. Enrolled and watched over 5 hours. No email. Also continuing to see the enroll now button.
Today was my turn to spend an hour with Amazon Customer Service.
Nobody knew about the promotion, although the original customer service rep I connected with stayed on the line through all the subsequent transfers. She was excellent.
I was informed that I did not participate correctly. Here is the correct way. Enroll. Select your movies and put them in your watch list. Then never go back to the enrollment screen. Do, however, take screen shots of the page that tells you you are enrolled and of the movies that you put in your watch list. This is for proof in case you have troubles again. Then just go to your watchlist and watch the movies from there and everything should work fine. After I enrolled, one movie happened to be on my watchlist, two of them were not. I did not add them to the watch list, I just went to Prime, selected them and watched them. Apparently that was the wrong thing to do.
So, since I did not participate correctly, they could not give me the Cheetos credit because this is a Cheetos promotion. They could, however, look at my Prime Video viewing history and see that I had watched the appropriate movies, so they gave me a $5 Amazon promotional credit that is good on any purchase, not just movie rental.
Better luck next month, I guess.
Just a quick update. When I checked, I discovered that I was actually given a $10 promo credit, not $5.
And update #2. I was also advised that if everything works as it should, it will take 24 to 48 hours for you to receive the email from Amazon confirming your credits.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this with us! Glad you could grab the promo credit.
Well, I added mine to my watchlist and then watched them from there and still had issues. But you shouldn’t have been told there was a wrong way of doing something. There were no explicit instructions saying you needed to add them to your watchlist for it to work. Once you’re enrolled, it shouldn’t matter. This is yet another failed promotion by Amazon, and they are just looking to blame their customers who weren’t adequately informed of the details of the promotion.
I received my email today from Amazon with the $5 credit. There’s a link that took me to the Cheez-It options. The promo doesn’t expire until January 31, but I went ahead and purchased the Cheez-it Mega Variety Snack Pack bringing the price from $10.04 to $5.04 which I thought was a good price. I received the email 2 days after completed the 5+ hours of specified movies. Thank you for the opportunity Hip2Save.
But did you also get the $5 video credit?
You’re so welcome, Shannon! Thank YOU for the update!
According to the rep that replied to my email we will have to wait a couple of days to receive an email stating that we received the $5 Amazon credit. Said that if after a few days nothing shows up then to call them. Guess we shall see!!
What does ‘while supplies last’ mean? That if so many people get the video credit, you don’t get one?
I signed up and watched the allotted # of hours. I did receive the Cheezit $5 but not the Vudu credit so be aware you may not get the Vudu credit.
Hmm, maybe try contacting customer service to see if they may be able to look into this for you. Hoping they may be able to help!
It’s the start of a new month, so sign up again!! They’ve now changed it to 8 hours rather than 5, and I never got my Amazon credit from last month. Sigh……
Thanks for the reminder- thought I was automatically enrolled but see now it says to do every month-I did actually get my credits last month but it did seem to take a while-
I got two $5 cheezit credits now but when I checkout it only applies $5, I guess you can’t stack them
It says you can; “Customers can also save and stack the $5 Amazon credit toward larger purchases of eligible products identified on the redemption page.”
I’m waiting on my credits for this month and hoping it doesn’t turn out like last month.
Also, I have$18.50 video credit after adding$10 from cheezit promo. Just purchased movie and it said $18.50 will be applied, after checkout the $10 credit didn’t come off and charged my debit. Had to cancel order. Sigh what a pain cheezit
I have completed this the past two months. I received notification both months that I received the Cheez-it credit, but yes–it will only apply 1 credit toward a purchase and the credits are not stacking as promised. As for the Prime Video credit, I never received either of those. This basically makes it not worth my time.
I haven’t even gotten either credit this month after completing everything by the 3rd.
Haven’t received the credit this month either, and I also completed on the 3rd. I did receive last month’s promo. I’m not sure if I actually have the Cheez It credits, but I did get the $5 Amazon Prime credit within 72 hours of completion last month. It’s dumb they don’t show a physical tracker on the promo site so that people have to trust the site actually tracks watched hours correctly though.
I finally did get the cheez-it credit after playing 2 more movies (I initially played well over the required amount), but I have not received the video credit either month. Also, the credits don’t stack as stated.
I’ve almost watched all of their movies, and it’s been well over a week and still nothing. At least some of the movies were good, but I had to sit through a lot of bad ones or ones not to my taste.
