If you’re having trouble deciding between the traditional carafe coffee maker and a single serve one, this appliance gives you both. It includes a 12-cup glass carafe and 60 oz. water reservoir that’s shared between both brew options. Plus, you can pause brewing with the push of a button if you’re in a rush to get your coffee.

I’m very happy with this Keurig K-Duo Essentials Coffee Maker. Having the option to make a whole pot of coffee in the morning or one quick cup as needed is very convenient. The single serve feature is really nice. Just pop in a pod, close the lid and choose you serving size – 8, 10 or 12 ounces. The carafe side also has a choice of 8, 10 or 12 cups. It’s all very straight-forward. Both methods deliver a delicious brew.
This appliance is very versatile as well. Anyone who’s ever used a Keurig K-Cup system will know that this machine makes more than just coffee – all sorts of teas, hot cider, cocoa and even soup can be made in just one machine. The Keurig K-Duo has enabled me to get rid of both my old coffee pot and my tea kettle, thus freeing up space on my counter top.
Overall, I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone who wants the choice of single servings or carafes.
I have this Kerrigan & love the option for either a single cup or pot!
Hi, how long have you had this one?
The one on the Walmart site appears to look like an older model as compared to the one on the Target site (the k cup side looks different). I actually purchased the one from Target the other day price matched it to the correct model at Walmart for around $111. Anyone have experience with either of these models? Just curious if the older Walmart model works just as well.
Thanks so much for pointing that out! This has been updated!
The only difference between both is that the newer one with the Keurig logo on the right is programmable .
I bought this when it first was release, about a year ago. We love it. Most of the time, it’s just my husband and myself- he drinks tea and I drink coffee/tea. We generally use the k-cup side on a daily basis and make a full pot when we have visitors. We think it’s the very best option for us- great purchase.
SO glad to hear you have been pleased with yours! Thanks for sharing with us, Kelli!
I own this and I don’t like it for my our family. It has simple settings for coffee sizes compared to the Keurig 2.0. and I like the options that the 2.0 offers(strong brew, 4oz-use this for oatmeal, 6oz-this for hot cocoa for the kids, carafe etc). The water tank in the back for this Keurig is inconvenient if you back it up to your wall and isn’t a large capacity for a multiple coffee drinker in the a.m.
