The last two times I placed orders at Walgreens I was supposed to receive over $5 in rewards. Both times neither showed up in the reward account. Luckily I screened shot the last one Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hmm, have you been able to speak with customer service?

I just found out that online purchases do not qualify for register rewards

Register rewards are catalinas that print out from the printer attached to the cash register. They are triggered by scanning the bar codes of the right items in the right quantities. You do NOT get register rewards in a ship to home or a ship to store because this process doesn’t happen. There are other perks though. You DO get Register Rewards in store OR a store pickup because this process does happen. On a store pickup you place the order online but it is actually checked out on a cash register when you pull up and tell the store you have arrived. I hope this clarifies the process.

Susan-5, if you were going by the first screen where it gives you estimated points that screen is not reliable. It is calculated by the best case scenario and if you read the fine print you will see all the ways that point total will not be accurate. If you are doing a “spend” deal where you must meet a $ amount spent to earn a reward you calculate that by adding together your out of pocket amount plus manufacturer’s coupons ONLY. Walgreens coupons, % offs, paying with rewards, store discounts, Walgreens gift cards etc do not count towards that total. There are many other things that are helpful to know so start by going to the Walgreens help center and reading the coupon policy and questions and answers. Find Walgreens beginners guides online, YouTube, and Facebook and read those; there are a ton. If you go into your rewards activity and press on the RFN number you will see the breakdown for your transactions. I think you will find that helpful.

What’s the difference between the RR and Walgreens cash that goes into my account?

  3. shey59

Can you do both the toothbrush for real and the toothpaste for real or is it one or another? Thanks

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! The RR for this offer has a limit of 1.

  4. Mike

Are these 2 separate RR offers or can I only do one or the other?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

They are the same offer. It has a limit of one.

    • Mandy

I was able to get rr for both toothpaste and toothbrushes by doing separate transactions.

    • Shelly

Just went to my local walgreens but the RR never print. Had to explain and show the ad to cashier and manager.. took a long wait for explanation, verification as they think I either shopped the offer before or the offer didn’t exist.

I really miss the print ads that you could show the cashiers as well. You shouldn’t have to do this but if you are expecting a Catalina to print ask the cashier before starting the transaction if the Catalina printer is on, has paper and is working. More times than you would think the answer is no. You can get a RR more than once just not in the same transaction. Should you not get help from a manager or have no time to wait you can call the Catalina folks directly.
Call 1-888-8COUPON, or 1-888-826-8766. Takes 10 to 14 days to get the replacement though. Keep your receipt for the store info date and time. You also need to tell them what the specific deal was.

  5. Beth

I did this earlier this week but got a $4RR not a $5 one. Also I’ve had terrible experiences contacting their customer service and getting missing rewards. They always say it’s “estimated” rewards.

    • shey59

My ad says $4 not $5 RR

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the feedback, It seems that RR may vary by region.

    • Pam

I agree. My estimated rewards rarely come through. And customer service told me that if I order online for storage pickup that I don’t receive register rewards.

Pam, the estimated rewards are calculated assuming that everything is paid for out of pocket by you. Since that is often not the case it is helpful to calculate them yourself. If it is a “buy” deal requiring only that you buy x number of the right kind of objects those are easy to calculate. If it is a “spend” deal requiring you to spend x amount of dollars calculate that by adding together the out of pocket dollars from you plus manufacturer’s coupons ONLY. Those are the only items that you will earn MYWALGREENS cash on. % off, Walgreens cash, paying with points, using store credit does not count because these are dollars Walgreens has already given you.

    • Paula

In California I show $4 as RR in the paper. We always get less or charged more.

  6. Susan

Personally, I prefer the deals with Walgreens Cash to Register Rewards. I find the Register Rewards harder to keep up with and they expire sooner. It gets confusing to me having to navigate both types of Rewards. However, Walgreens has had some really good deals lately with Walgreens Cash. Thank you for posting all these great deals!

Register rewards are for the most part from the manufacturer and not Walgreens; there are some exceptions. They are triggered by scanning the right items in the right amount and the “catalinas” print out at the register. If you read the fine print it will say “courtesy of P&G” or “Colgate”. They must be used quickly because the manufacturer wants you to come back and buy more of their product. They come out of the manufacturer’s advertising budget. Walgreens cash is a digital reward program directly from Walgreens and paid for by Walgreens.

Can you use RRs in an online order for curbside pickup (I know you can receive them that way), or can RRs only be used in store?

I paid $3.33 for 2 toothbrushes, will get a $4 RR. I did order online and chose store pick up. Will they have the RR printed for me? Or how does that work? Thanks!!

    • Sandy

Yes, they usually staple the RR to the bag.

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks a bunch for the helpful comment, Sandy!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)
