Hip Tip: Before cooking your steaks, let them sit out until they come to room temperature. When super-cold meat hits a hot pan, the muscle fibers become tense and chewy, and your steak won’t cook evenly.

Good Chop is a total game-changer! Their meat and seafood are all-American, super fresh, and free from antibiotics or added hormones. The quality is next-level! I’m blown away that the prices are better than the grocery store, and it all ships right to your door. – Hip CEO, Collin

I usually shop for meat at my local grocery but was able to get a deal on a large Good Chop box about 2 months ago and decided to try it, as it’s still been difficult to find some items, such as chicken, here. Let me just reassure anyone who is on the fence about this that they should jump at this offering right now. The quality was superb (mixed box of beef, pork, chicken, and fish) and the items arrived frozen solid. Plus, I had an issue with ordering, which was totally my fault, and they had fantastic and responsive customer service. I like knowing that their products come from America and not from Australia, like some similar plans. – Hip Reader, Deb

I’ve placed one order so far and we’ve had two items out of our food. The steaks are excellent—really tender. Now I just have to figure out how to cook rockfish. I would definitely recommend it. The quality is first-rate. I’ll definitely order again. – Hip Reader, Janet

There are few places I will order from since I typically buy my meats locally, so my standards are high and I won’t compromise even for a deal. That said, Good Chop is a place I trust because their meat is not only organic, but it comes from animals that have been born, raised, and harvested in the United States and the beef is grass-fed – not all subscription companies can say the same. All of my food came frozen and looks great so far! Most notably, the cod pieces look like nice sizes, which I really struggle to find locally. I look forward to making many meals with my recent Good Chop restock and would encourage anyone to grab a deal on their food whenever you can!  – Hip Sidekick, Sara

They have very few grass-fed options, and the ones that are grass-fed are not grass-finished. I get better beef from Costco and Sam’s Club for much less.

I added the same options as you did but the weight is much less than what you have stated plus there is a $9.99 add on for Filet Mignon? What gives?

So sorry for any confusion. Thank you for the heads up! We’ll take a look at this!
