This is our third season with this stove. I was skeptical at first because I remember the horrible camp stoves of my childhood which were really hard to light and difficult to control. This lights in a flash and has excellent control. I have cooked stews on this using a low flame without sticking and when needed, you can crank it up and boil water in a flash to wash dishes. My only gripe, and it is hardly Camp Chef’s fault is that the burners are too big for our camping coffee pot. For this reason, we still carry a backpacking stove as well. But I’d never go back to cooking on one of those.
