I bought three pack from Costco. Gave one to my mom 2 weeks ago. She loves it. This is the first time I’ve gotten her the wax ones. It is almost ready to bloom. So far so good. The other i gave to a sick friend. She has already sent me pics of it growing:) I kept the third for me:)
Aww, Glad you could each enjoy one and that they’re already starting to bloom! Thanks for sharing, Jean!
I buy these every year. They are amazing. And so beautiful. I’m a certified plant killer, and these thrive all on their own. You will not be disappointed. Worth every penny.
Oh wow! Good to know these are easy to care for! Thanks for commenting!
Amazing value-jumbo size bulbs that create a beautiful display. Wrap one in a pretty box for the perfect hostess gift. Makes great present as it doesn’t need water and there’s no soil to spill. Unfortunately my Costco is already sold out so if you’re see them in-store don’t wait to buy. I’m hoping they’ll restock so I can buy another pack.
Thanks a bunch for the recommendation! I love the idea of grabbing these for hostess gifts!
Trader Joe’s usually carries them too at the holidays
Also I saw them at Target yesterday. Around $14 I think
SWEET! We’ll have to check our stores too!
We’ve spotted them there before too! Thanks for the heads up!
Please consider buying the unwaxed bulbs! The waxed bulbs eventually die and the unwaxed bulbs will live for many, many years. You can find inexpenive bulbs vases to gift them in. Just make sure they will fit as this plant has a larger bulb.
Thanks for the information. I like to save mine by planting outdoors in the summer, bring in the bulb, refrigerate for 6 weeks, and replant. I saved a bulb for 2 years and going to try again with the one I just bought at Ace this week.
