McDonald’s $5 & $8 Meals Are Coming Back — Deal or Meh?
McDonald’s is lowering prices…but is it really the deal we’ve been waiting for?

McDonald’s is finally cutting combo meal prices after admitting its menu had gotten way too pricey. Starting September 8th, you can score two $5 extra value meals and more popular combos up to 15% less than ordering items separately! Head here for full details.
Expect to score these $5 Breakfast Meal Deals:
- Sausage McMuffin Meal
- Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddle Meal
- Egg McMuffin
- Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuit
all breakfast meal deals include hash browns and a small coffee!
Hungry for lunch & dinner? Get ready for these meal deals:
- Bic Mac Meal
- 10-Piece Chicken Nugget Meal
- Quarter Pounder Burger (any variety– original, bacon, or deluxe)
- McCrispy Sandwich (any variety – original, deluxe, or spicy deluxe)
All combos include medium French fries and a medium drink.
While the promise of prices dropping is exciting, we’re not sure 15% is something worth celebrating, considering how high the prices have gotten (remember that viral $18 Big Mac combo?).

Still over-processed junk. No thamks.
Everything in moderation ✌️
I’ve noticed there is quite a difference between prices at an independently owned McD’s vs a corporate one. Also in the service. We look for a corporate one
My friend who works at McDonald’s corporate office told me that by the end of 2025 they are hoping to have all McDonald’s locations franchised out.
I’m meh
The Breakfast deal doesn’t entice me since there’s a $4 breakfast meal coupon in the app every day. Assuming that’s gonna go away now so it’ll be a worse deal.
