My son loves playing with this. He primarily plays with the scissors to cut the dough, which is completely safe in my opinion, and I feel comfortable letting him play with minimal supervision. The box is also nice to use as a container for his play space to minimize mess. I find the dough consistency to be no issue since I did some reviews mentioning not liking it. Overall happy with the product, especially at the price point I bought. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
