I’m a fairly light sleeper, and small noises around the house can wake me up much earlier than I want. I mainly got these earplugs for sleeping, especially on nights when someone else is still watching TV or moving around after I’ve gone to bed. They noticeably soften those background sounds without making me feel completely disconnected from what’s around me.

The biggest difference for me is the silicone design. I sleep mostly on my side; some regular foam earplugs start bothering my ears once my head has been against the pillow for a while. These sit more comfortably and don’t stick out as much. It took me a couple of tries to figure out the best position, but once I did, they stayed in place through most of the night.

I also like that they’re reusable. In the morning, I can clean them and put them away instead of throwing out another pair. I’ve started keeping them on my nightstand so I don’t have to search for them at bedtime. I’ll probably bring them on my next trip too, since hotel hallway noise is another thing that tends to wake me up.
