  1. jen is on sale

dawn is on sale 2 i see more free hand renewel i have missed hipsave this week my computer is messed up but had 2 get on here before i went nuts thanks for all the great deals

  2. April

I bought John Frieda shampoo & conditioner last week for the SCR…do you think if I just purchased a styler that the shampoo I already purchased would go toward both rebates?

    • Kirsten

This next week is the Frizz Ease, last week was the Root Awakening & luxurious Volume. Different products, different SCR.

      • April

Thanks, but I understand it is a different SCR, but both offers are good for all month so I am wondering if my shampoo/conditioner would count toward both. If anyone has had a product count for 2 different SCRebates before let me know. I know that say pampers qualified for a pampers rebate and a p&g rebate…any thoughts?

        • super saver sarah

I bought Frizz Ease shampoo & styler and they cleared for both rebates. RA sometimes has awesome double dips for their rebates! 😉

          • April

            awesome…thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i bought 2 biore strips, 2 biore cleansers, 3 john freida root awakening, 1 john freida frizz ease shampoo and a john freida frizz eazz styling product. i got both scr $15 and $6.99 for frizz ease. frizz eazz counted for both the rebates.
      again i bought 2 oral b croos action by using bogo q and a $1 q. i got $1 scr for it besides a $10 P& G gift card for purchasing $30 product.
I noticed when my total was 3×9.99=29.97, it says not qualified. that means, it must have to be $30 purchase. however, i bought oral b, so my total was more than $30.

  3. Niki

I just want to let everybody know that for Almay you have to buy 4 to qualify for $5 rebate. Because it is on sale BOGO, when you buy 2 they consider you only buy one (other one is free).
So, buy 4 and use 4x $2 coupon.

    • super saver sarah

I only bought two and qualified for the Almay rebate. For some reason, it’s is working with 2 for some people, while others don’t have it work till they buy 4.

      • Erin

        What did you buy?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought only 2 and bogo
I got purple mascara and purple palette cosmetics

    • mrslauriemclean

OH, really? Because I bought two of the eye makeup removers ( I think it was buy one, get one 50% off, but I had a BOGO coupon) and it didn’t qualify. Do you think if I bought two more Almay products, I’d get the rebate??

      • super saver sarah

I haven’t heard of anyone that bought the makeup remover and had it qualify. I bought two mascaras (BOGO) and cleared.

        • Joanna

I bought the make up remover and it originally did not apply, so I emailed them twice to see why not, and they emailed back and said “it did not qualify” (so much for details) but then I have a $5 SCR on my accoutn for Almay. So who knows whats happening, but it did work for me.

      • April

question them about the eye makeup remover…after calling the “contact us for SCR number” the superviser told him to give me the rebate, no problems…get your $5 🙂

        • Sharon

I did the bogo eye makeup remover Almay. My first response back was I didn’t qualify. I emailed them. Today, I got another email about the rebates, and the $5 rebate was included.

        • Rene

I bought 2 eye make up products last week and did not qualify for the rebate, so when I wrote them and asked why, they said that B1G1 free deals don’t count because I did not pay for one. So he said I have to buy 4 during the B1G1 free sales to make it work. But there’s nothing on the SCR ad that stipulates exclusions!

      • TINA

I was told the removers do not count for the rebate because they are not considered an actual cosmetic. Only the cosmetics apply

    • Anonymous

I got two eye shadows and qualified for the Almay rebate. Woo-hoo! After SCR, I paid one cent for two boxes of Mini Wheats, two Skittles, two Starburst, two Covergirl foundations, and two Almay eye shadows!

  4. Adrianna

Keep a lookout in your store for ALOT of clearance personal items!! Last night I went in and as soon as I walked in they had a whole cart on wheels, with about 5 shevles stocked with brand names such as Gillete(lots of this brand) John Frieda, Vive, and Degree all 50% off regular prices!! I bought two full size gillete deoderants for $.48 for both with the $4.00 off two deoderants coupon!! I used just about all my Gillete coupons last night and stocked up!! So keep an eye out for all these on the shevles or the end caps!! 😀

  5. Anonymous

I was in today for the Covergirl and Almay, and for some reason, the cashier was having a terrible time with the coupons for them ($2 Almay and buy one, get one Covergirl). She happened to mention that starting next week, they would no longer be able to key in coupons that didn’t scan. She wasn’t terribly coherent (and she *always* seems to have trouble with coupons), so I don’t really know what this means. I feel like all my coupons usually scan (unless I usually have rock star cashiers who key them in so fast I don’t even notice), but I wanted to throw this out there in case there’s a Rite Aid employee out there who can shed some light.

    • super saver sarah

I’m not sure that she is correct. At my stores they’ve been told not to manually enter IPs that won’t scan, but with insert coupons they always manually enter those.

      • Anonymous

She’s pretty incoherent–and generally inept when it comes to coupons–so I wouldn’t be surprised if she was wrong. But the coupons were insert coupons, and I don’t know why she would have mentioned it if it applied to IPs only. It’s just scary when someone who doesn’t really know what they are doing begins to enforce new “rules.” Never really had trouble with this store, and I’m really hoping nothing changes!

  6. Bonnie

    Adrianna,

I saw a lot of 50% at my store too, I used the $3 manu Q and the $1 Video Values Q to score John Freda Frizeeze for free plus $.76 in overage. These great free deals are making that $5/$20 go so much further, I hope it continues!

  7. SaraJC

Lance crackers are 2 for $3 so if you use 2 $1/1 coupons from lance.com it will only be $1.00 for 2!

  8. Donna

I did the Frizz-ease deal yesterday at Rite Aid. The stylers were all $6.49. The shampoo wasn’t on the shelf with the other shampoos but was in the back of the store in a clearance bin. It was 1/2 price, so $3.24.

  9. marie

mega packs of diapers are 17.99 theres like 40ish-50ish in them! Don’t think its that great of a deal when the big boxes with 70-92 diapers are just 2.00 more! Silly that the mega packs are so expensive they should be more like 14.99!

    • Adrianna

Well, if you do the deal you get 80-100 diapers (the two mega packs) for about $18…so you get more than the big packs for about the price of one mega pack…

I agree…only if I’m desperate for diapers will I get this Deal…Walgreens STILL has it’s packs of diapers on clearance for 2.24 or something like that!!I’ve already bought 4 packs, but they are still on the shelf…so I hope no one buys them and they go even CHEAPER!! 😀

  10. Abby

    Gotta question…

Can I buy more than one box of bandaids to try to qualify for the Johnson and Johnson rebate or is it only one of each item? Thanks so much!

    • Kirsten

You just have to spend the dollar amount on any if the selected products. As far as I can see you can spend it all on bandaids!

      • Abby

Okay thank you so much I wanted to buy more band aids and baby care products.

        • Boonie

FYI In case you didn’t catch the fine print on the bottom of “rules” it states- before tax or coupon discounts!

          • Abby

Thanks for the advice figured out my scenario. Did you see the Johnson & Johnson first aid kit on sale for $1.49 use your $1 off coupon for any first aid product. I am grabbing a couple of these for my car!

          • Mary

They always have the “rules”. But I bought 23 packs of pantiliners on sale for .99 and used 21 $1 off coupons (peelies) and 1 $1.00/2. I have 22.77 towards the rebate already and I barely spent $1.50!

  11. Tara

the in ad coupon for hersheys 2 on 3 is a manufacturers coupon. you cant stack another manufacturers on top of that. It would end up being three bags for 5.97 minus $2 in ad = 3.97.

    • ken c.

yes that’s what I came here to say…doesnt start with RCA. thanks it will save a headache or 2

      • collin

        Hi Tara & Ken-

Thanks so much for pointing out this issue. I did not realize the $2/3 Hershey’s in-ad coupon was a manufacturer coupon. I have corrected the deal scenario. Thanks. 😉

    • Amy

Just wanted to let everyone know that you can use the in ad coupon for the hershey candy and another manufacturer coupon for the hershey candy. The policy states that you can use 2 manufacturer coupons on the same item when one is found in a Rite Aid circular. I used both today without a problem.

    • MandM

I used it today w/ the manu q w/ no problem.

    • Elizabeth

Just returned from rite aid where I was able to use both coupons. The clerk did say you can’t use 2 manufacture coupons, but I pointed out that one came from the ad and she apologized.

    • Jill

Rite Aid’s coupon acceptance policy explicitly states that you can use two manu coupons if one comes from their ad circular.

  12. Mary

    Hello Collin,
You are my IDOL! Thanks a lot for all your work helping us all to save and stretch our dollar. I need your help to figure out how to use my 20.00 Gift of savings in Riteaide maximizing the savings with coupons, sales and the 5/20. I dont know how to do it. The total usually end up lesser than 20 and Rite aid 20 gift of savings should be used once only. Again, thanks a lot.

    • Anonymous

Wait til there are lots of free or nearly free after SCR rebates to “convert” your GOS into cash. I still gotta do this, too.

  13. Lindsey

can someone fill me in on how the rite aid shopping works? is it like ecb?

    • Pamela

Watch Collin’s video on shopping at Rid Aid….I have saved a ton! Oh and print off Rid Aid’s policy on using coupons….just click on the RID AID link that Collin has provided on the bottom right of her home page.

    • Abby

the money you get back from Rite aid comes in a check form. It is called a Single Check Rebate. The main thing to remember is that do not hit send rebate to me until the end of the month b/c you are only allowed one check per month. So wait until the end of the month to make sure you have had a chance to submit all the receipts for possible rebates for the month.

      Hope that helped

      • Ashley

The Single Check Rebate is a CHECK. You can take it to the bank and cash it or you can use it at Rite aid as if you were handing them cash. Hope this helps!!

  14. Pamela

How many times can we print the videos $5 coupon we get after watching the videos? When I am able to print it I can change the number on my computer and it will print out as many as I say….is that ok to use more than ONE?

    • ken c.

I’ve never tried to print more than one..I don’t know if that works….you get only one per month watching the videos. However there are lots of other $5 off $25 and $3 off $15 coupons right now that you can get…just follow the links in Collins rite aid section. You can only use one of these coupons per transaction.
Some people do a few transactions in one trip. I prefer to stop in another time that week if I need to.

    • April

You can print it multiple times the first time you select to print the coupon, but you are not supposed to!! When I went to RA this past week the lady told me they were only one per person which is the way it is meant to be. You can print the PDF 5/25 or 3/15 as many times as you would like :)…remember, the video values coupons have your info tied to them.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

how does the renuzit deal work if its BOGO? In collin’s scenario, she said to buy 3, but wouldnt it be better if we bought 4? because you would lose out on one if you didnt .. right? The “B2G1” coupon is making this more confusing! @_@

    • super saver sarah

Yes, you’re better off buying 4. You pay for one, the store pays for 2 (BOGO sale) and the manufacturer pays for one (coupon).

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

so 4 for the price of one?! can we still use 3 $1/1 coupons for the ones we are getting for free?

        • collin

I have corrected this deal scenario. You are right….definitely a better deal to purchase 4. And yes, you can use 3 $1/1 coupons. Thanks.

  16. Kristin

Rite Aid megapacks of Huggies, etc. are $17.99 at our store. Even with the bogo50off, it is still a hair cheaper to buy a 19.99 box and use the $5/$20 (I get a 20 cent airhead or something, too) along with a $2 coupon.

  17. Tiffany

There is also a month long promo when you buy $75 worth of Zyrtec and Benadryl you get back $20…there might be some scenarios for these items if anyone needs them.

  18. lisa

OH my HECK, It makes me sick to read these deals and realize that I buy ALL of these products and I had NO IDEA I could be saving dollars and spending pennies-PENNIES!!

I am a little lost in it all, to tell you the truth. Is there a turtorial of some sort to catch up on some of the coupon-ing lingo?
(Like what are SCR’s? and what do Single Check Rebates #’s mean? Is $5/1 mean $5 off a product? ect…)

    Thanks!!

    • lisa

umm…Maybe I should think before I write my comment 🙂 I think I answered my own question! SCR=single check rebate!! but what are the numbers about?

      • super saver sarah

The numbers are for the different rebates for the month. If you go to the store, on the rack with the weekly ads you’ll find the monthly rebate book. Pick up one of those every month and that way you’ll have the book for easy reference. It’s also on their website too. Some rebates are month-long and some are week-long. Occasionally there’s even one that goes for more than month. Collin’s RA video is great at explaining RA shopping.

    • Abby

Remember you will be paying for the item up front but you will be getting the money back in the form of a check after you submit for your SCR single check rebate.

  19. debbie

I would like to see a response to pamela’s question (#14) please.

    • Jenni

I have printed off more than one of the $5 off $20 video values coupons and been able to use them. I don’t go overboard and print like 20 or anything, usually maybe 2 or 3, but they DO work and I’ve never had a problem doing it or using them. I hope it’s not against the rules or anything, but I feel like if they only wanted you to print 1 then they wouldn’t give you the option of printing as many as you like.

  20. Abby

Can I just tell you my husband so loves when my rebate check comes in each month!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Has anyone rec’d their rebate for the Renpure shampoo/conditioner? Also, can you send more than 1 rebate per household/name? I’ve sent 2 so far. I really like the products but I also REALLY like getting them free =)

I received the $3 Renpure rebate I did last year, and it took forever. The company has a website but there’s no way to contact them. I was actually wondering if I could do the try me free rebate, since I already did the $3 one. The addresses on the rebates are exactly the same, and although it doesn’t say one rebate per address, with no way to contact the company, I’m wondering if it’s worth it.

      • Alicia

i think the try me free is 1 per household… i got my rebate already.

I’ve never shopped at Rite Aid before. Do they do overages?

    • Anonymous

      Not supposed to.

    • marcia

It is a YMMV for sure! 1 RA near me you have to fight tooth and nail to use a couple Q’s, another one loves them and does overage happily! I like them 😉 lol

Don’t forget, today those FREE Exedrin Coupons expire. I combined this with the Frizz Ease deal and used the $3 off $15 coupon to make it all FREE + $3.51 profit!!

I used mine today, too, to score super cheap Easter candy and cereal. However, the coupon didn’t want to scan, so the cashier keyed it in. Of course, this required manager approval, and the manager gave the cashier a hard time about keying the coupon in. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come, because I *never* had coupon problems at my Rite Aid.

I don’t appear to have the John Frieda coupons from last week’s paper… either the Montgomery Advertiser did not have those particular coupons are I tossed them thinking they were for a product we did not need… though I don’t remember tossing John Frieda coupons so the advertiser may just not have had them. If anyone in Montgomery, AL got extras I would sure like to have them!!!

    • April

I bought 10 on ebay for $2.50 including shipping.

    • Damien Barber

My mom is going to send me the two coupons in the mail; hopefully they will still be in stock when the coupons get here!!

    I didn’t see this mentioned before –
The Right Guard Deodorants are a $2 MM – B1G1 free sale – There are $2/1 VV from rite aid and can be combined with $2/2 manufacturer coupon

    • Jill

Is anybody having a hard time pairing a manu coupon with a video value coupon? I never have before, but today the assistant manager was checking me out and he said that they both say Manufacturer’s coupon on them, so they can’t take both for the same item. I didn’t see any information in their coupon policy saying you can combine the two.

  26. Rebekah

Just thought you might want to know, there is a Huggies Riteaid video coupon for $1 off. It says one thing on the coupon, but I’ve been able to use that coupon for 2 or 3 different size packages. IT might make that mega pack deal a little better.:)

    where is the visine rebate?

  28. Kelley Guimond

Just wanted to let you all know that the Neutrogena Clinical products valued @ 39.99 each qualify for the J&J rebate. You only have to buy $10 more in that category to get $25 rebate back. Plus, use the 5/25 coupon and the printable $5 neutrogena coupon online and submit for the $15 rebate and that makes it all free!!! Love rite aid.

  29. Kari

Holy cow, I just robbed Rite Aid! (ok not literally, although they treat me like that sometimes when I whip out my coupons). I got 3 J&J baby products, 1 ky yours and mine, 2 renpure shampoos, band aids, neosporin, 3 first aid tapes, 2 cortaids, and 1 visine and I MADE $16.41 doing it (after the $25.00 SCR and renpure mail in rebate). More details on the blog as it’s too much detail to post here. A big thanks as always to Collin for her deal scenerios as I totally forgot about the $3 off bandaids and neosporin coupon.

For the Planters peanuts, do you have to buy 10 to get the SCR? Would it work if I bought 6, for a shelf price of $19.74 (since I only have three of the $1 coupons)? Thanks!

    • Debbie

The total retail/sale price of your Planters purchases have to be at least $15. If they are B1G1, for example, you can only count the one you are paying for. If they are $3.oo each, you would have to buy 5 of them.

In this case, a store sale is being combined with a store rebate (and coupons). The store can’t give you credit for money they aren’t going to “recoup”. HTH

  31. Liz

Sorry if this has been asked but can I still get the $5 scr for Almay this week since it’s BOGO? Will it work for 2 or will I need 2 purchase 4?

    • Jill

I bought two on the BOGO sale and got the rebate.

  32. jaroses7

help. I can’t find the almay, planters, or starburst jellybean coupons in my 3/7 RP or SS (respectivley) did I miss them or were they just not in my books? i live in utah
    thanks

  33. Stephenie

For the Almay SCR you will only need to buy 2 products. In my case i bought two almay shade perfect concealers which came out to 8.99 total (BOGO Sale) I used two $2 off coupons and paid $5.79 after coupons and I still received the $5 SCR. HTH

  34. Christine

I’m new to Rite Aid shopping & I had a couple question about using coupons. My main one was if Rite Aid has a BOGO sale, and one of the manu q’s that I have requires two items to be purchased, do I have to get 4 items since I’m only paying for 2? Additionally I have a VV q for the same product, that can be stacked on a manu q correct? I’m working on a deal for the Right Guard and I have the $2 off 2 q plus a VV q for $2 off 1. Also, if I have manu q’s for BOGO or BOGO for x off, can those be combined. Like the Aussie, I have a q for $2 off any styler when I buy a shampoo or conditioner, then I have another $1 off q for any Aussie item, so could I use both since one is actually discounting the styler and the other could go towards the shampoo or conditioner? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    • Debbie

      1) No, you should be able to use a “$ on 2” coupon on a BOGO sale (2 items). Rite Aid usually allows mfr coupon usage on a free item. If you are talking about using a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale at Rite Aid, buy 2 items and get them both free (paying only tax). If your Rite Aid doesn’t allow this, you can do a BOG3 (with 1 BOGO coupon).
      2) Yes, they are stackable.
      3) Yes, 1 coupon per item.
      HTH

      • Christine

Thanks so much for you help! We’re off to Rite Aid now, only the second week I’m trying this out, but so far it’s working out well. The last time I was there it was kind of funny because there was a couple checking out next to us doing the same kind of deals we were. One of her transactions was only 82 cents! I’m not that good yet, but I’m working on it.

  35. Elizabeth Paterson

Does anyone know if I have to buy a certain visine for the rebate in 3-14 Red Plum? I ordered a rebate form from “Coupons and Things by Dede”. Has anyone else used her site?

  36. Beth

Anyone have an extra Visine rebate? Willing to trade for others qs or send SAE. Thanks beth

  37. Liz

I didn’t find a lot of these sales at my Rite-Aid. The Renuzit pearls, the Tide stain-release, and the Joy dish soap were not on sale at my Rite-Aid in So. California.

  38. Jamie

FYI: The Frizz Ease rebate has to be Frizz Ease and NOT the Root Awakening that is pictured in the rebate cataloge. My rebate did not go through so I contacted Rite Aid and they said it was a mistake in the rebate booklet. Bummer….guess I shouldn’t have trusted the photograph they provided. Oh well…..

    • SenoraE

Same for me – going to try to exchange mine tonight!!! 🙂

  39. Shandrika

My Rite Aid would not accept the $1 coupon with the B1G1 coupon for Herbal Essence-is anyone else having this problem? They said only 1 mfg coupon per item. I tried to explain that I was buying two items & they said it was a new policy. I did not have the coupon policy with me, and they did not have one available. I read the coupon policy and it says one per item, but they said it had to do with using a B1G1 with a $1 off coupon that I would have to buy 3 to use 2 coupons. It didn’t make sense to me, but was tired of arguing it. Just wondering if anyone else was running into this……..

  40. Lisa Orr

I scored 4 Huggies Mega Pack diapers (52 size 3’s per pack) for $7.99 per pack. Down form $17.99 per pack! I made them two transactions of two packs of diapers each and used 2 $3/1 huggies coupon plus a $5 off $25 Rite Aid coupon. I rarely shop at Rite Aide because it isn’t convienent for me, but this was definitely worth it!

  41. SavinginLA

Does anyone know if the Johnson’s vanilla oatmeal baby lotion counts towards the J&J rebate? That was the only one on sale in our RA for the 2.99 deal and I was wondering if I should buy it or not.

    Thanks

  42. HOPE

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE B1G1FREE COUPON ON COVER GIRL FACE PRODUCTS IS GOOD FOR THE MASCARA THAT IS B1G1FREE THIS WEEK? I’M NOT SURE IF MASCARA WOULD BE CONSIDERED A FACE PRODUCT….OR AN EYE PRODUCT? 😉
    THANKS…
