Did you notice any other great Toys R Us deals? Let us know in the comment section!
I am in Dallas, TX
I am trying to find my receipt but I can’t find it! either they had them get 3 bucks off when you buy 2 or they were ringing up at 11.98. I kept my reciept so I could show my husband how great of a deal I got today but now I can’t find it! I am pretty sure I saw a sign that said if you buy 2 you get 3 bucks off…..
Well, they even wouldn’t let me use 4 coupons for 4 movies. I went to Babies R Us so I didnt get the jewelry boxes either!! 🙁
Mine was similar! They came out to $11.24 instead of $14.99, so after coupons I got four DVD’s for $2.48 before tax!!!!
I did the toy story deal and got them on sale just as you stated. When I got home I noticed that the Toy Story 1 did not have a sticker for the movie ticket. I went back today for the princess deal and asked TRU about it and they said some had tickets and others did not and said that was all they had left. Thier suggestion was to tell the manufacturer and complain. Has any one else had this experience. Would it be Disney that I would complain too?
I am not sure but I would definitely complain about that one too! I guess just call Disney. My TRU had plenty in stock and I wish I had the ad so I could go price match at Target.
So excited got my princess and the frog dvd and it even came with a jewelry box! I split it with a friend so we both won on this one.
Ok, so I JUST checked online to Babies R Us and noticed that they also have the free jewelry box with any Princess Movie purchase. I am mad that I didn’t notice this before– but I guess I can call the store tomorrow– or even go back in there and see if I can snag these as well. I would LOVE to get 2 of them since I bought the Princess and the Frog– do these items come up on the receipt when you buy the movies– like does the cashier scan the jewelry boxes? Where are they located?
I just called Babies R Us and no luck– apparently the sale is at TRU only for the Jewelry boxes. I am on hold now with TRU asking about the coupon policy– apparently stores aren’t ever able to accept coupons on ANY sale item….interesting. Did anyone else get a different response?
Last week I purchased the Princes and the Frog and did not notice the Jewery box came free until I got home. I went back the next day and showed them my receipt and they rang me up the box for free. Hope this helps. It was TRU/BRU combo store.
Mine are separate stores, and I couldn’t use the coupons at TRU but could at BRU…I’m sad that I didn’t get the jewelry boxes!!!
I am in Blaine, Minnesota and our Toys R Us had some excellent clearance deals in the back of the store! It was INSANE! I got sweat shirts for my little guy for next winter for $2.28 EACH!!! I couldn’t believe it because I can’t even get clothes for that used.
I live in Honolulu, Hawaii..and there is 1 TRU on the entire island. We went yesterday..2 $5 Princess and the Frog coupons in hand for this sweet deal. It took a while to track down the movie itself (it was in one small stack on an end cap) and I got so excited! Woohoo, around $10 for two movies plus I have 2 mail-in-rebates that would make these free?? Yes, sign me up! Nope. The cashier wouldn’t use the 2nd coupon. She said she couldn’t. I tried to convince her otherwise..but I’m still SO new to couponing that I’m not too confident in it yet..and she didn’t bite (I had a horrible experience at Target later on as well because they overcharged me on some items and when I went to CS to have it fixed, the manager didn’t understand about the one coupon per purchase wording on some coupons and honest to goodness didn’t believe me and made me pay the difference! UGH! I was too tired to fight with her at that point! So instead of getting $11 back, I ended up with $8 and angry feelings haha). I didn’t want to cause a scene so I just went with it. Whatever. $15 for 2 new release movies is still a pretty good deal..and then after the 2 MIR $5 for 2 movies..$2.50 per? Nothing to sneer at! 🙂
It REALLY does depend on the store employees, I asked TRU for their coupon policy and this is the response that I got: Thank you for contacting the “R” Us Team regarding this matter. At this time we do accept manufacturer’s coupons as well as coupons from any of the stores in the “R” Us Family. We do not allow the use of dual coupons or mixing a coupon with a promotion or sale on an item. Multiple coupons may be divided up for separate transactions to ensure they are used properly. While it is not policy to accept competitor coupons, some stores may elect to do so at Managerial discretion. Please inquire further at your local store for more details.
This doesn’t really help us at all. Even though I explained to the manager at TRU that they are getting the $5 back for each movie + 8cents, he didn’t care!! ERGH!!
I went to T-R-Us today and they wouldn’t let me get the Toy Story with the Princess & the Frog for free, she said I can’t combine two deals- so I got toy story one and toy story two and they had a deal that when you buy each of these it was 16.99 and then I used my 2/$10 coupons so I think I had quite a bargain- two movies for $7 – I also got the playschool push toy that was on sale for 14.99 and used the $5 coupon so I spent 17 dollars for a toy and two movies! i am new to this bargain shoppin’ thing so I was proud of myself!
That’s awesome!! Congratulations, Jessica.
Went this morning and got 2 Princess and the frog movies and 2 baby einstein movies… cashier took all my coupons. Paid 18.04 for 4 movies! She didnt even think twice about scanning the coupons. yay!
Man, I wish my cashier would’ve done that. She was scared because it said “Do Not Double” but that means that you cannot take 2 coupons for 1 item– when it all reality, they are making money!! Oh well, at least I got the movies! It would’ve been nice to get the 2 jewelry boxes too…..ergh!!
I had my hubby run in and he was able to do the same thing. But, on top of that we got a $5 off $25 coupon in the mail today and we were able to use that as well. Total cost was just over $12.00 for all 4 movies!!!!
Oh wow, that’s awesome!!!
I’m new to this site, and was so excited about these deals! My husband couldn’t believe how little I paid today for Toy Story, Toy Story 2 at Best Buy (they did price match and took both $10/1 coupons). Then at Target, they even price matched the BOGO for the 2 Princess & the Frog DVDs and 2 Baby Einstein DVD gift packs (they each include a book and toy!), plus accepted the four $5/1 coupons! I will be submitting the two Princess rebates, so will end up getting those for free (!), $5 each for Baby Einstein gift packs, and $6.99 each for Toy Story and Toy Story 2! Plus the free movie tix inside! And got Target to price match the Ball Popper at $14.99, plus take the $5 off coupon. I can’t believe these stellar deals! THANK YOU, Collin! You ROCK!
my store here in florida refused to let me use 2 coupons — i was once again disappointed at this store … just last week i tried to use GERBER coupons and they were refused …. GRRRRRRRR — come on gerber is legit !!! they said since it didnt have a watermark in the coupon they wouldnt take it …. this week was no use of 2 coupons on a BOGO sale … grrrrrr
I’m sorry to hear of the trouble some had. My store took the coupons no problem. Not only that, some of the Baby Einstein’s had buy two get $10 off coupons right on their boxes. We ended up getting $130 worth of DVDs for $25; six Baby Einsteins and two Princess and the Frogs. These will make great additions to our own collection and great baby shower gifts. Thanks Collin!
