Check out the email and picture (above) I received from reader, Tasha:

While in my Wags yesterday I noticed several plastic bins with trial size items on the checkout counter. One was for Dial Nutri-Skin lotion. I had the cashier check the price and it was $0.99. I had just bought two papers and I clipped my 2 $1/1 coupons real quick and snatched up two of those puppies to put in the teacher gift bags!

I thought I would give you all a heads up on this since I didn’t even realize that the Dial NutriSkin lotion came in travel size! Also, I’m guessing that Walmart and Target probably sell the travel size as well for around $0.99, so FREE after the $1/1 coupon found in the 3/13 RP.

Thanks for posting this 😀 ..Have a great week!

  2. Dawn

I don’t have the travel size at my walmart. But they do have the 1.97 one which I used some of my 2.00 off coupons from before. Also, I had 2.00 off coupons left from a couple weeks ago and used it at Walgreens for the big Nutri skin lotion, so got the big one for free, cause of the register reward.

    Nice Logo , Collin,,,,, 😀

  4. cathy

This weekend I check out my target and walmart travel bins very throughly and no dial in them. Maybe it’s new and it will be there shortly.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to both stores neither had it

  5. mom2six

    I don’t have those coupons 🙁

    • Ada

      me neither 🙁

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any extra 20% off amazon diaper codes or $10 off codes. I could really use the help and would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks gleefal@yahoo.com

    • cass

I have a give away going on now for the $10 coupon code! 🙂

Thanks Collin for your help! I’m totally lost in Walgreens without you!!

  7. Paul

They are also free at Walmart. Not all are in the trial size. Most people have been finding the 2oz size by the regular large size Dial lotions. I did post the UPC code on my site and some were also able to have their store order them for them….

My RP insert was missing from my paper yesterday. Is there anything I can do to get it?

    • ScrapGal

If you have the paper delivered call them and they will deliver another one. If you bought in the store you could try going back but they’ve probably thrown them out by now.

    • Brittany Sitzman

Kayla if you contact your newspaper they should help you to get this insert!

      • Jenny

Yea, well my local paper pretty much told me “To bad so sad!” What customer service! I cancelled them right away! They still toss me Sunday’s paper though for free! LOL! I don’t know why. I buy mine at the gas station and ALWAYS check them first. If something is missing (I guess I scanned them to fast) they always take it back and let me exchange it.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work at a newspaper and the customer service department is very good here. However, I can explain why sometimes the papers do not have coupons there are several one being the coupon company didnot send enough, or the inserting machine messed up. Next time ask to have a copy of the paper sent the following day somethimes that will work I know if it a area that is to far to redeliver we will send it next day.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can double check on RedPlum.com to make sure you were supposed to get the redplum coupon insert before calling your paper:
      https://www.redplum.com/CouponBook.aspx

    • Bee

Two stores I went to had the RP in their papers and Wag’s did not. I took them back. It’s not fair that some get the advertised level of coupons and some do not.

Only thing I know for sure now is look before you buy and if you happen into a store that has all the inserts in the paper, go no further.

      • Mika

I bought a paper at Publix a few weeks ago that was missing one of the inserts. I went back to Publix the next day and they went in the back, found one left over and gave me the insert I was missing. I love Publix!

      • Anonymous

Sometimes people come in my Wags & just take the coupons out (which is why I always check for the coupons before I buy it!).

    • Victoria

I was at my gas station on Sunday to get my news paper. I seen somebody else going through the papers and taking out the inserts and putting them into the paper she was going to buy.

So I grabbed mine from the last shelf and towards the bottom of that pile. I also checked it right there in front of her to make sure they were still in there.

I hope that isn’t the case that happened to you.

  9. RH

I tried to buy this at WAGS last week and the cashier said I couldn’t because the coupon value was more than the product. I asked if she could adjust down, and she said no. I had no luck finding the smaller ones at Wal Mart either. BOO!

    • Melissa S

Even though it is in their coupon policy, I have yet to find a Walgreens cashier who knows how to adjust a coupon down. And I am not talking about unhelpful, hostile cashiers. I am talking about friendly cashiers. Months after the coupon policy was issued, they still haven’t been trained to adjust the amount of the coupon.

  10. Brittany Sitzman

CVS has a good deal this week on this lotion, pay $4.99, get a $3 EB plus the coupon, you would still end oup paying $.99 out-of-pocket but its the 21 oz size so still a great deal!

    • Eli

Same deal going on at Walgreens this week, FYI.

    • Bee

Yes, I was very happy to get the large size for .99. Things don’t have to be free to be an amazing deal.

      • Tasha

If I were buying for myself, I’d much rather the larger size for .99 cents. However, I was happier to get the smaller size for free, since these are going to be in gift baskets. Thanks to Collin, I have enough great lotion to last me for the next year! LOL

  11. Jenny

I was able to use my $2 coupons on them last week! Let me tell you.. this stuff is amazing! I love this new lotion!!! I bought the full sizes at Wags with the RR deal and at CVS with the ECB deal. The mens lotion smells great to!!

  12. Deb

I snagged all the free full-size Dial 2 weeks ago-they’re $1.97 at our store.

But the COOLEST deal going on right now at WM has to be the $2. overage when you buy the 2pk travel size Purex 2in1 sheets. The q is for $3. off-so all the overage is buying me a bunch of fruits/veggies this week!!!

Merciful heaven-have you seen the price of tomatoes now?

    • Lpmousse

I hear yah. I paid $2 for a green pepper the other day. Yikes! Then I went to a cheaper grocery store, and paid $3.49 for 3 peppers (red, orange and yellow). 3 green peppers would have run me $3.69. Wow!

  13. Lpmousse

I’m going to check out this deal at Wags this morning. Here’s hoping!

  14. Belle

    Thanks for this!
Collin if you see any deals on gardening, seeds or canning products it would be great, because with the price of vegetables it is time to look towards canning/freezing some from our own garden this year. 🙂

    • MA

Today is the last day of a special for $1 Shipping & Handling from Gurneys. That is one of the places that my dad always bought a lot of his vegetables from to grow. If interested, their link is: https://gurneys.com/Customer-Service/a/286/

      • Belle

Oh, thanks so much! I just checked out the link and they have EVERYTHING. I really appreciate the tip on the S&H sale. 🙂

        • Cheryl

We bought from them last year and were very disjointed with shipping and quality of the products. It was not worth the price for us. HTH!

  15. Liz

I love this website! Thanks Collin for all you do to help us score some deals! 🙂 I was so looking forward to some of the coupons you told us about coming in the RP yesterday. I opened my paper and did NOT find some of the great coupons, such as the Dial one and the Clearsil one, boo!! I am from the midwest and am finding that I do not always get the same great coupons that would make amazing deals….also the Purex one, I so wanted that coupon!! Does anyone else in the midwest run into this problem?? Wondering if I can order the paper from a different region, or is that not doable?? Help!
Loves to save, mamma to six 🙂

    • Lindsey C.

I live in northern Indiana. I did not receive the high value Purex coupons or the Renuzit crystals coupons. But I did receive the Clearasil and Dial ones. I think it depends on both the newspaper you subscribe to and your region. I seem to miss out on a lot of the high value coupons. I tried subscribing to the Chicago Tribune, but it cost too much because I wasn’t in their normal delivery area (or something like that). I think the only option may be to drive to stores/gas stations and buy the newspapers there. Of course, you have to make sure the coupons are actually in them!

      • Jen

@Lindsey – I buy the Chicago Tribune every week (I live in NW IN). They have had a flyer in the paper a lot recently for delivery for 99 cents, and sometimes even 50 cents! Have you tried using one of those? I would have, but we’re moving out of state. Now I get to figure out what the “good” paper is all over again!

  16. E

    Wal-Mart sells these for $1.97.

Last weekend I used the $2 off coupon that just expired to get the free.

  17. Tasha

It’s not just the midwest. If you live in a “smaller market,” usually further away from a big city, your coupons will be lesser values oftentimes and sometimes you won’t get as many coupons. That happens to me all the time. I lucked out with the $3 gain coupon, but no $3 Purex for us! I usually try to order from a clipping service online if it’s just a coupon or two that I’m needing. If it’s a week that there are a good number of good coupons, I’ll order whole inserts. You pay more to ship them that way, but usually, even including shipping, a whole insert costs as much to ship as 3-4 clipped coupons, taking into account that you order several at a time to defray the cost of shipping each. I usually try to fill a flat-rate envelope, and it’s more cost-effective for inserts that are packed with good coupons. (Also, our local paper doesn’t have the SS inserts at all, so I have to order those online one way or the other if I want them.)
You could also try trading for the ones that you need on a trading board or forum, but this might be difficult if all you have is lower-value, lesser-liked coupons from your inserts. You could try getting tear-pad coupons and rebate forms in-store to trade with.

  18. Amanda

If you like Dial Nutriskin on facebook you can one time print out a coupon for $1 off, its the same one that is in the paper.

  19. Loretta

Our store would not accept the $1/1 for the trial size. But the larger size for $.99 was still a great deal!

  20. Liz

Thanks Ladies for your comments! Once I went back to my inserts, I did find the Clearasil coupon, so I was happy to use that at Walgreens today for free face wash 🙂 I did print the Dial one for a one time deal too. I am not sure about ordering coupons off a clipping site, but may look into it in the future….I actually have asked my grandma to send me her coupons from the east coast! It is her way to contribute to our family and help out, so fun. The coupons from her are different, some high value. Couponing is SO fun and is a great way to help my family while keeping my thinking skills sharp, ahhh, the thrill of a great deal….so great!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found this free after using 1.00 off dial nutiskin coupon at family dollar in a bin next to the register : ) & O NO BEEPS ! it take’s the coupon just fine .

  22. The Coupon Kid

I went to wags and bought 11! Thanks collin

  23. happy1038

I made my first trip to Walgreens in my life yesterday. Wow, it was overwhelming but exciting. I have spent weeks reading Collin’s tips and every single comment you all have made and went armed with my binder and I had 5 of these dial $1 off coupons. I searched everywhere for them and finally found them in a plastic goldfish bucket in the cosmetic area for .99. I got 5 free. I also did 3 separate transactions and used my RRs. I cannot believe I haven’t shopped at Walgreens before. I also went to the cosmetic counter and they had the beauty and baby coupon books there on top of the counter. I have always been a CVSer. So the only beepage I got was handing my coupons in the wrong order. I handed MF before the Walgreens RR and they had to delete the order and said the RR always has to be handed first. So I spent $30 and my savings were $32. I was happy spending 1/2 of the value of my order for being a first timer… Thanks Collin and everybody.

  24. rossjulie

I got 11 today for free! Thanks for the post.

  25. A

I have had very bad experiences at Walgreens where none of the cashiers want to adjust the coupon down or they say that it’s not the right product (even though it doesn’t have a size specification on the coupon)
