(Thanks, Totally Target!)
Does anyone know what age range these are usually good for?
The picture shows 4-6, but my son who just turned 3 loves the book.
I got it for my daughter when she turned 3.5, and now shes 4.5 and still loves it.
I would say a range from 3-6.
my daughter is 6 (kindergarten) and can read on a 2nd grade level and she absolutely loves her Tag and all of her Tag books
looks like i will be making a trip to Target later today…I hope this is on price cut at my Target, we are traveling in June and this would make a great surprise while on the road…hopefully they still have a few “cheap” priced Kai Lan toys, as I dont need 2 of the books to use the other coupon.
thanks!!!!
Does anyone know, do you need a special “system” to read these books. Or are they regular books?
they are regular books..you dont actually need the Tag reader, though it is nice to have, for the games and all that.
you can read the books, but that sort of defeats the purpose. the tag system is awesome! it sounds words out, reads the stories….it’s just a great product. I have it for my 6 year old and also purchased it for my 1 year old cousin. I think any toy that aids in learning in the way this toy does should be in all of our homes
How is the 1 year old doing with it? I love the idea – anything that gets a book in my daughter’s hand is a good thing. Her first birthday is coming up but I figured I would have to wait until she was 2-3 to introduce Tag Junior.
I can’t find i under toys?? anyone know?
what zip code are u using?
here we go again.. one coupon per purchase and cannot be combined with any other offer. I think target needs to explain each coupon policy word in detail.
I don’t get what that means?
when you print out the $5 coupon, it says “one cpn per purchase and also it cannot be combined with any other offer”. When the target cashier read, she is like you cannot combine this with target coupon because it says cannot be combined with any offer. and can use only one $5 off because it says one cpn per purchase for the deal scenario stated above by Hip2save author.
Does anyone know where the $5 coupon is located on the leapfrog website? My daughter has the tag reader and absolutely loves it!!!!
Here u go:
https://www.leapfrog.com/tag/tag-coupon.html
I can’t find the target coupon
the target coupon is not off of leapster products it is off of Ni Hao, Kai-Lan products and this book qualifies as one of those products
Does the $5 coupon work on the Tag Junior books?
For those of you looking for a second Kai-Lan item, check over by the books, I got a Watercolor book for $3.80 before coupon.
Thanks for the tip! I found a coloring book! My girl was so happy that it came with crayons. She doesn’t know who Kai-Lan is, but she loves to read and color!!!
Thanks , Tilla
Thank You Lalluji!!!! I really appreciate the link to go directly to the coupon. Stocking up on the tag books for Christmas and Birthday gifts. Thanks Again!!!
Are the other Tag books also on sale for $7.99? I would love to pick up some other books and with the $5.00 coupon, $2.99 for a Tag book is an awesome deal.
the other books were all on sale for 9.99 at my Target in South Florida…Kai Lan was the only 7.99 one.
Yes, the other Tag books were regular priced 13.99, but scanning at 9.99. I got the last two Kai-lan books. I just downloaded the new book and my 4 year old is playing with in now. Awesome deal!
Also, I found the i-wick motion sensors on sale for 5.99 — free if you still have the $2 Target coupons and match up with the $4/1 coupon from a few weeks ago.
I was able to score two of these books for $1.49 each. My favorite cashier knows that my husband and I donate alot of toys to Toys for Tots and our local Childrens’ Hospital at Christmas time. She called her manager over and they decided to hold all the books for me until I come back tomorrow with more coupons. I told hime I was only able to print the Target coupon 2x’s, he said don’t worry about just bring 2 of the Tag coupons and 1 Target coupon and he would take care of the rest. He said he had about 80 books in the back storage room and that I could have them all if I wanted. My husband said YES take the deal. So I will be going back tomorrow and getting all the books to donate. I will also be making up a gift basket for both my favorite cashier and the manager as a token of our appreciation. I’ll post again tomorrow to let you know how I made out.
My poor hubby. I just sent him in to do this deal and poor guy always gets the worst cashiers EVER and they wouldn’t let him do the deal. The woman said it said on the Tag coupon it was only redeemable only. WRONG! It says you could redeem online. Why then (not so nice cashier) would they put a barcode on it??? And she was basically telling him he couldn’t use the Target coupon because the Tag coupon said it was not able to be used with any other offer….
I schooled him over the phone and sent him back in…
Wish the poor guy luck!!
My husband has the SAME trouble whenever he goes … I have even sent him w/our son to warm them up a bit and that doesn’t seem to work either. However, whenever “I” go in, I never have any ANY problems … hopefully it ended up working out for your husband, but it does take some scouting out the available cashiers to ensure an easy transaction sometimes. 🙂
The last time I had the $3/1 coupon, I was able to get a lot of overage for other things. I used them on the clearance Easter books when they were $.50 each. Obviously it is YMMV.
So I went to Target tonight to do this deal and they only had one of the books, so I was like forget it for today I will check another Target tomorrow or later in the week. Then I headed off to Frys(Kroger) and I was checking out all the clearance spots and they had tons of Tag books for under $5! I believe they were $4.54 or something like that. SCORE!
i went to target and purchased 1 of the tag books and one of the normal reading books with the leapfrog and 3$ coupon it was only 2 dollars and change. then my daughter purchased the princess and the frog book for 5 and change. all the tag books are 9.99 excluding the Kai Lan and Bakugan which are 7.99 and the toy story 3 which was 13.99
Thanks for this. I got 4 LF Tag books and a bamboo stuffed toy for the baby for 23.xx after tax. This will make great birthday presents.
I was able to score 4 of the books & 2 of the paint/coloring books that someone else mentioned. No issues on using the coupons either … all of them scanned right thru with no beeps or questioning cashiers. 🙂
So I just got my book and guesss what!! My cashier let me use the $3 off coupon with The Ni Hao Kai Lan band aids(1.77) and I used the 75 cent coupon for band aid from Target.
So stoked! 7.99 +1.77 -5.00 – 3.00 -,75=1.01 plus tx!!! Thank you so much for the deal!! I will head back this weekend again!! Makes a great gift!
