Has anyone else noticed that the foods that are typically on sale are pretty unhealthy/processed foods? I love all the other savings I get from other deals but when it comes to food it’s really a picky thing for me personally. I’d rather feed my family healthy 🙂

    • thorninc

Jimmy Dean makes a “natural” version & a Low-Fat version that are on Price-Cut this week for $2.49 so only $1.49 with a dollar off coupon. Not a bad alternative.

  2. Denise

I just realized there was a catalina promotion I lucked into when I shopped at Kroger’s last night. I bought 6 boxes of Orville Reddenbacher popcorn, on sale for BOGO free (plus they doubled the 40¢ coupons I had). I got two free Redbox rental certificates! I saw the promotion on a stand with Frito Lay and Pepsi products, but not on the OR display. Now, the question is….did I buy a certain number or a certain dollar amount to get the catalina? It was a nice surprise, either way!

  3. andrea

Meijer has a catalina promo from 5/16 till 5/19. Buy General Mills, Yoplait, Betty Crocker products $20 worth (before coupons) and get a $10 cat. I bought 2 boxes of cake mix/2 tubs of frosting, 1 box of Original Cheerios (yellow box) and a whole bunch of yoplait cups and received the catalina.

    safeway double’s coupons? wow

    • thorninc

and triples up to .35!! 😉

    • charla

My Safeway (Oregon) does not automatically double. They issue a double coupon on their insert that doubles up to 4 coupons up to .50. And you can only use one (that doubles 4) per transaction.

      • Jennifer

My Safeway (Newberg, Oregon) told me on Thursday that they will not double internet coupons. Meaning the ones I print out from smartsource or redplum etc. I looked for their coupon policy online and the link to it has an error. I sent them a message and they haven’t replied. Has anyone else run across this?

        • Jennifer

I found my response from Safeway, am I missing something here? I am not seeing where it says these coupons can’t be doubled.

Thank you for your interest in our manufacturer coupon policy. For your convenience, here is our Company Wide Coupon
          acceptance Policy.

          Manufacturer and Store Coupons:

          1. Coupons are redeemable only by a customer purchasing the specific brands and product(s) stated on the coupon, with the face value of the coupon deducted from your retail or club card price.

          3. Coupons are subject to advertised offer limitations and all other limitations and restrictions on coupon.

          4. Coupons cannot be applied against the free item received in any offer where a customer buys one or more items to get one or more items free.

          5. Coupon amount may be reduced so that any combined discounts and coupons do not exceed the value of the item. See number 12 below.

          6. Coupons have no cash value.

          11. Coupons are void if they appear distorted or blurry, are altered in any way or copied.

          12. The transaction amount may not fall below zero value, or go negative, meaning we will not give the customer money back.

          13. All sales taxes are paid by the customer at the full value of the item.

          14. All bottle deposits on the purchased and free items are paid by the customer.

          19. Manufacturer Internet printed coupons must clearly indicate that they are a manufacturer coupon and have a valid manufacture address on the printed coupon.

          20. We will not accept “free product” internet printed manufacturer coupons.

          Load to Card Club Coupons:

          21. Internet and digital coupons that have been electronically loaded to a Safeway Club Card are automatically redeemed at the time of purchase after the club card number has been entered. All other coupon policies above apply to electronic coupons that are loaded to a club card.

          Doubling of Coupons:

          22. Check with your local store regarding ‘double coupon’ advertised promotions where customers will receive double the coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the advertised limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only.

          Coupon Stacking: (Hawaii stores only)

          23. Safeway does not allow a customer to redeem two or more manufacturer coupons against the same item in a single transaction.

          24. Coupon stacking policies for manufacturer coupons apply to paper and electronic coupons that have been loaded to a club card.

          25. If a customer presents two coupons for the same item in a single transaction, Safeway will only accept the first coupon to be applied in the system.

          Rainchecks:

          26. Rainchecks expire ninety (90) days from the date issued and are accepted at any Safeway store.

          –Original Message–
Today I went to the store with some coupons I printed out from red plum and smartsource and the cashier told me that he could not double those manufacturer’s coupons. I can’t seem to access your coupon policy. Is there somewhere else I can obtain this information? Why can’t those be used? The corporation gets paid back by the manufacturer anyway. Thanks

  5. Aleshia

Why would the coupons for Safeway be doubled on the cereal? It isn’t advertised as double?

    • Heather T.

That was my question too. As far as I know, my Safeway doesn’t double. Still $.50 a box is a good deal.

      • Norteasterner

Our Safeway doubles, but if the coupon read “Do not double” (even though it will automatically), some cashiers will re-enter it manually. Just an fyi!

        • Misty

My Safeway’s are Randall’s in Houston, Tom Thumb in the Dallas area, anywho it doubled for me yesterday. I’m not sure about them letting you use 4 50cent q’s they have limits.

          • Aleshia

Just so everyone is clear, I just got off the phone with Safeway customer service. Only select areas do double coupons. He said that its for everyday not just special occasions. Also, any manufacturers coupon up to .99 and no limit. You can’t access this information. You have to have management print the policy off and give it to you. Also, if you have any questions or your safeway is giving you issues call customer service to find out if your area does to double coupons, if they do and you still have issues tell the management at safeway to contact customer service themselves to verify.

    • Tammy K

Colorado Safeways, at least in Denver metro doubles ALL coupons no matter what!!

      • Linda

Safeways in Seattle don’t double 🙁

  6. Christy

Love the grocery deal round up! Easy to peruse and just what I needed to see! Thanks!

  7. Debra

Thanks for posting Meijer deals — its my main grocery store!

    • Craig

Me two’s!!! Thanks Collin and…Savings Addiction.

  8. Angie

Does anyone know if the Kroger diaper deal works at Dillions too?

    • Katrina

Yes Dillons has the $15 deal going on this week here.

  9. Meghan

Safeway has different policies regarding doubles depending on your region. For instant, in the Portland, OR area, we can double 4 coupons up to 50 cents each with coupon; however, 200 miles north in Seattle, there are no doubles at all.

  10. Carla

I don’t buy Cap’n Crunch cereal, but thanks for showing Safeway some love! 😉

  11. Nicole

Kroger and Meijer ads for some of us don’t reset until Thursday so the catalina’s will work but the sale prices aren’t the same. Just FYI in case anyone else has this situation.

    • cindy

Is this why the Crystl lght is not 2.00 right now here in Indiana – will it be on Thursday? I have only about 1 of 4 deals work for me at meijers so I am thinking it’s due to this. I went today – I did get the 12 pack of water which last time it was a 24 pack but free is free.

  12. brenda

Does anyone know how long the Huggies wipes will keep? I’m new to all of the baby stuff and starting to stock up. Are they well sealed and have a long shelf life? I’d hate to do the great huggies wipe deal only to have them dry up before I can use them.

    • Aleshia

They won’t dry up so long as they are kept closed. If you leave the lid open they will. Just keep it closed. Trust me I buy big stack of the refill wipes and I have had no issues.

      • brenda

ok, thanks! My intent is to stockpile so I won’t be opening until I need them.

  13. Alley

I live in CA and I wish I could find a website that has the best deals for grocery stores in CA. If anyone knows of any good one’s please let me know =D

    • Jennie

Hey Alley! Do you have a Safeway in your area? If so, I cover Safeway and they have some amazing deals. Thanks for the link-up Collin! 🙂

      • Alley

no safeway and no raley or kroger

    • Dana

I follow thekrazycouponlady.com for California. One of them lives in CA. I like it because they don’t do the price matches with doubles as CA doesn’t double coupons. They cover Safeway, Raley’s and Albertsons. HTH.

  14. Katrina

It only let me print the $2/2 one time 🙁 It says I reached my limit and I just printed it once.

    • Aleshia

Most of the time you can only print out 2 coupons per computer. If you want more you have to have another computer.

  15. Rebecca Z.

THANK YOU for posting Meijer and Kroger deals. You rock!

  16. Marci

If only the Jimmy Dean sausage was on sale for .99 at the regular Target!!! We live off the Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage. It is so great for meatballs, spaghetti, breakfast, you name it.

  17. Kristie

Meijer has some awesome deals this week:

Moneymaker Kraft Dressings, $1.00 Kraft Mayo/Miracle whip (buy 3 get a FREE 5lb potatoes), and lots more.

Check out all the matchups at: https://www.gracefullysaving.com

  18. mary

Here in Austin, our Randall’s (Safeway) will double up to $.50 and triple up to $.35, BUT they will only double one like coupon, so if you have 4 coupons, it will only double one and the rest will be $.50 off, not $1 off. Bummer! I wish we had a Kroger…they double up to 3 like coupons!

    • thorninc

good info Mary! i just got back from Randalls/Safeway and was going to give the FYI about only doubling the 1st like coupon. ended up paying $1.50 for 4 boxes of Cap’n Crunch… still not to shabby!

    • Nicole

That is true for the DFW area too! Tom Thumb has been my favorite store lately though. They are great to me when I’m using my coupons.

  19. Samantha

According to the Ad in my Smart Source Fred Meyer is giving the $3 for your NEXT purchase. Kroger and Fred Meyer are the same thing, correct?

  20. Mandy

does anyone know if the huggies deal is good at Smiths (the UT/NV Kroger name)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

it should work it utah it was posted here at savvyshopperdeals.com

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

has anyone had any luck w/ the kroger huggies deal? i didn’t get the $3 off coupon and went back to look at the sign and didn’t find where it advertised the $3 deal. I didn’t go to customer service because I couldn’t back up the sale. Help please!?!

    • Su

I haven’t tried the deal, but I see the deal advertised in my local ad. Did you look in your ad?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        hi Su,
thanks for your reply. i just checked the flyer online and didn’t see it. what page was it on? im in indianapolis. maybe the deals are local?

        • Su

I’m near Cincinnati and it’s in the middle of page 2 of the ad. HTH!

    • stacy

I did the Kroger Huggies deal tonight. It automatically took $3 off my bill before my coupons.

      • Nicole

It did the same for me. No coupon just a minus $3.00 at the bottom of your receipt.

  22. Annmarie

Thank you for the grocery post. Meijer – Crystal Light FREE – yum!

  23. April R.

    RALEY’s/NOB HILL:

  24. Mindy

unfortunately i didn’t have any luck w/ the kroger huggies $3 off coupon deal. (north texas) i looked at our ad and talked to a customer service rep and manager and they knew nothing of the deal. 🙁 very bummed. but still an okay deal w/o the $3 off at register. Total came to $12.96 with tax.

  25. Angela Joy

Thank you for posting the safeway deals!! We don’t do Capn Crunch, but my church is doing a food drive, so I will donate it. 🙂

  26. Angela Joy

Safeway Shoppers- My cashier gave me a heads up. Tomorrows ad will have coke buy 2 get 2 free plus 2 free boxes of wheat thins!

  27. kimC

Just a note my Kroger is not accepting internet coupons of 1 dollar or more so I specifically asked about the Huggies 3.00 off coupon and was told that I could not use it.

  28. melanie p

anyone know what zip code to use for the .50 on captain crunch? i’m not seeing it! HELP 🙂

    • Amy M

      Can’t find it either!!

  29. Julie

My Kroger in IL would not do the huggies deal.

  30. thorninc

did this deal last night in Houston, Texas… no signage at all… but it worked! $3 came off the total once i entered my Kroger card. 😉 yay!!

  31. Brittney

Collin, thanks for posting another wonderful Huggies deal. I did 3 transactions with a savings of $32.66. I got 124 diapers for 20.06 or .16 each for size 3 and 576 wipes for $9.85 or .017 each. I wish I knew how long this was running here in Indianapolis. It was not advertised anywhere here but I scanned my Plus card and it took off the $3 when I hit pay on the U-Scan.
