As you know from my previous post, Red Plum released lots of new coupons today! Well, one coupon to note is valid for $2/1 Noxzema Shaver. Walgreens has these on sale this week buy one get one FREE, with a retail cost of $2.99 each. Here’s how you can snag some really inexpensive or possibly FREE Noxzema Shavers:

Deal Scenario #1:
Buy 2 Noxzema Shavers $2.99 for both (after B1G1 Free Sale)
Use two $2/1 coupons from here or from the 5/23 RP
Final cost 2 shavers FREE!
**The second $2/1 coupon will most likely beep since the value of the coupon will exceed the value of the item. However, if you have a great cashier, they may adjust the coupon down for you.

Deal Scenario #2:

(if you don’t want to deal with coupon beepage)
Buy 6 Noxzema Shavers $2.99 each
Minus B1G1 Free sale = $8.97
Use 4 $2/1 coupons from here or from the 5/23 RP
Final cost ONLY $0.97 for all 6 shavers– just $0.16 each! …AND No beeping! Yay!

(Thanks so much, Passion For Savings!)

    thanks 🙂

  2. carolyn

I have 2 Walgreens near me, and neither will adjust coupons down for me. I’m in Jacksonville, NC, Collin how do you get them to adjust them for you?? I am denied every time, by at least 4 different cashiers! Please help!

    • MommySpendsLess

As far as I know Walgreen’s doesn’t have a formal corporate-wide coupon policy, at least not one that they’ll give to their customers in writing. Aside from finding a great cashier and shopping during her shift or convincing your local managers to change their minds, I don’t think there’s much you can do.

    • Betsy

You can have them adjust the price of the item up to the value of the coupon. That is what a person at the corporate office told a manager at the Jefferson City, Mo Walgreens to do for me awhile back.

    • carolyn

      Thanks!!

    • Lolo

I went today and bought 4 of the bikini razors 9priced $3.29) the cheapest they had and then used 4 $2 off coupons and I had NO beepage. I had other stuff to absorb the overage… my store will adjust down but I did not need to have them do it. Give it a try.

  3. Tiffany

Ok well I have a question about adjusting coupons.

If they adjust it so we still get the items free and the company sends the coupon to the manufacturer they get the full amount of the coupon making money. Correct?

  4. Mrs. B

Its up to the store manager. the store manager at our local walgreens WILL adjust the coupon BUT the cashiers dont seem to ‘get that’. They still put up a fight when it comes down to it. Even the assistant manager had told me NO. I’ve held my ground & called the store manager to let him know that his associates are not following his policy.

  5. Cheryl

It may not beep when its bogo. The $2.99 might come off at the end. Unfortunately I didn’t get these coupons.

    • MaryBeth

That’s how it worked for me! No beeps and making some money. Nothing better 🙂

  6. Sarah Faith

Out of the four walgreens near me, I have yet to have a cashier willing to adjust the coupon price down. All of them say they can’t…frustrating, because I end up not making that purchase at all. I wish Walgreens would just come out with a written corporate coupon policy already!
I’m really nice about it and everything; they just say they can’t adjust coupons.

  7. Tracey

    Mine rang up at $6.99 B1G1 (4pk) and $5.29 (3 pk), not $2.99. Still a good deal though – 2 4 packs @ $1.50 each and 2 3 pks @$.65 each after B1G1 and 2 $2 coupons.

    • Lolo

you must live in CA! My prices at my cheap store are similar, but the other stores may be those same prices. (I have different prices at 2 of my 5 stores that are less…go figure) I bought the bikini razors at $3.29 instead and used a coupon for each and mad a small amount.

    • Agnes

same here, in Illinois those were like $4.49 and bikini ones $3.94 or something, so no deal for me

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did the 2.99 today, and no beeps when I used 2 coupons 🙂

  9. Meghan@thebrokefiles

I did this earlier today with no problems! Just to let you all know, the $2.99 price point is for the bikini shavers – it is a 3 pack of little mini shavers. I was able to use 2 coupons with no beeps, and got $1.01 overage. Moneymaker! And as a previous poster said, yes, the $2.99 doesn’t come off until the end.

    • Deanna

Are the bikini razors included on the coupon?

  10. Julie

Yes the coupon does include the bikini shaver.

  11. Jennifer

Yay, I’m excited! I work at Walgreens and just an FYI there are two ways that a Walgreens register will ring BOGO products. Unfortunately there is no way to know which way it is ringing until someone tries it…
    1) the first product will come up “$2.99” and the second “$0.00”, when this happens we have a hard time using 2 coupons that will go over the $2.99 value of the items
    2) the first product comes up “$2.99 BGLP” and the second “$2.99 BGLP” in this case the second $2.99 is subtracted at the end (you’ll see “-$2.99” on the receipt), here we have no problem using two coupons because the register ‘thinks’ that the value of products we are purchasing is $5.98.

It really is a store to store policy on what to do in situation 1.

I know there are some managers that are weird about coupons but I must tell you there ARE people who mess it up for legit coupon users. Just the other day we got a bunch of fake Tide coupons because of this my cashiers now have to call me when they get a “free” item coupon so I can check it.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am really confused on the whole thing….in the deal scenario she said 6 razors for .97 but she is using 4 coupons…….so would this not be 8 razors with buy 1 get 1……PLEASE somebody help me figure this out.

    • what's the deal

She was using 4 coupons on 6 items just to avoid beepage. The way they are ringing up you don’t even need to worry about it. You can use 1 coupon for each pack of razors, because the free ones come off at the end of the transaction so no beepage.

  13. Amber

Has anyone bought the “regular” razors instead of the bikini kind? I was wondering if they were also $2.99! I still have bikini kind left from the same deal last year! I need “regular” womens razors, so Im hoping those kinds are also $2.99 price!

    • Alex

the ones I bought this morning were $5.00
so I paid 1.00 for 2 packages of razors. Still an awesome deal

    • Teresa

Same here I paid .99 for both packages, not bad.

  14. Lisa

The bikini razors were $3.49 at my store… bought 2 and used 2 coupons with no beepage and $.51 overage! FYI, the normal razors were more expensive, $5.99, I think.

    • Valerie

i did the exact same thing! 🙂

  15. H

East bay area, CA didn’t get the noxzema coupon in the insert today.. oh well, at least there’s a printable one 🙂

  16. Lisa

I just purchased the Noxzema triple blade 4 pack razors for $4.99 a pack and BOGO free. I would have paid $50 w/o the BOGO sale, so they rang up for $25 and I had $10 in coupons bringing each pack down to $1.50 or .38 cents a razor. I’m happy with that deal. The $2.99 price was for the bikini razors and I prefer the larger size.

  17. Tika

Just returned from Walgreens and I did the 4 pk Regular Razors at $4.99 a piece. I bought 2 and the free one did not come off until the end so I was able to use 2 of the $2 coupons without beeps, so they were $.99 for 2 packs before tax! I am in Cincinnati, OH. Hope that helps someone!

  18. Sally

I got the Noxzema bikini 3 pks razors for $2.99 and it rang up $2.99 BGLP. I had no problem to use 2 coupons, no beeps, and got $1.01 overage toward my hot dog bun. I am in Garland, Texas.

    • Mrs. B

      same here! im in NC

  19. Libby p

So do you guys buy 4+ newspapers to get 4+ coupons??
How else would you have that many of the same coupons to use on the same purchase?

    • Sally

Libby, you can print it from Red Plum from the link Collin post above.

      • Julie S.

What zip code do you use to get the coupon?

        • Sally

I believe the coupon is gone by now. I don’t see it anymore.

  20. SavinginLA

In Southern CA, the regular 4 pk is 5.29, which as usual my store was out of. The spa version was 6.99 and it rang up as 6.99 and rang up as BGLP.

  21. Angie

My Walgreens was out of the $2.99 razors so I had to get the more expensive $4.49 ones but they were free after I used my RR on them.

  22. lorine

I did deal scenario #1 …BOGO noxema razors w/2 $2 off coupons.so they were free + a small MM! And the register never beeped.

  23. Jennifer

Worked for me with no beepage. The razors 94 ct.) were 4.99 bogo so I paid 1.29 for two boxes of 4 ct. each. Thanks

  24. Mary D

I’m not sure if I did something wrong but….I bought 6 packs and used 6 coupons (2 from paper and 4 from printing online). I got the ones that were 4.99 & 5.99 and I ended up paying almost $6. So it was about $1 each but I was expecting it to be less. But I still took them because it was basically buy 1 get 5 FREE…so its still a good deal but not as good as some other people are getting.

    • Jen

You ended up paying that much because the computer will give you the least expensive ones free. So, I’m assuming you got 3 @ $4.99, and 3 @ $5.99. The computer gave you the 3 lower cost ones for free, charging you $17.97. Your coupons were worth $12, leaving you with a total of $5.97. It worked out that way (and not the way Collin described) because the packages you got were more expensive. I’ve done the same thing, and left the store wondering why on earth I spent more than I expected, and then kicking myself once I realized.

      • Kira G

Same here…brain wasn’t plugged in today so I bought the 5.99 ones and couldn’t figure it out until I just got back and reread the post. Note to self: check prices on blog to MY store prices, lesson learned.

  25. Nellie

Are the coupons all gone from redplum.com? I’ve searched & searched & don’t see it anywhere.

    • Kari C

      yes.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What zip code do you use to get the coupon?

  27. Holly

I am wondering the same thing about the zip code bc I am not seeing the coupon.

  28. valerie

Same here because I don’t see the coupon? What zipcode was used?

  29. michele

My wags was all out of the little shavers, so they gave me a rain check. I’ll wait till next week and then go get them at the chaper price.

  30. Jodi

I bought the 4.99 razor pack, like some of you. Did you notice that they also came with a bonus bikini razor? There was a sticker on the package. BTW, my cashier said she wasn’t happy with the quality of these razors, but said she has very thick hair.

  31. Lisa

Does anyone have the coupon link or what zip code to use?

  32. Jennifer Kurek

I am having the same problem. I don’t have the razor coupon. I have tried other zip codes that have come up in the past and still cannot get it. Is there someone who knows what zip to use or if they have taken it off already.

  33. valerie

Can anyone tell me what week and what insert these coupons were in?

  34. April

i don’t have the coupon coming up either and i really need razors!!!

  35. Jennifer

I bought two packages for $5.99 each, and used two coupons. I am not sure why, but my second coupon beeped. I was very lucky and had a nice cashier who accepted the coupon anyway. But I dont understand why it would beep since the total coupon value was less that the product cost? Huh? But I am happy to have gotten a good price on some razors to throw in my travel bag!
Thanks so much for this site!

  36. Katie

They removed the coupon on RedPlum, so annonying!!! I did complain to Walgreens that they shouldn’t put in their advertisement that there may be “additional savings” in most Sunday papers, because there never was a RedPlum coupon, except for online, which they promptly removed about 24 hours after the offer started.

  37. Katie

I just received a call from the Walgreens manager, and I explained that I was annoyed because I tried to track down the “additional savings” they advertised, which no longer exist. He offered to honor the extra $2 off for the Red Plum coupon that is no longer available because the Walgreens ad promoted the additional savings. Was definitely worth the e-mail to corporate if you want the extra savings.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Help! I just let $13.50 in rr expire. Eeeee gaddddssss. Way too many school activities is my only excuse. Will they let you use expired ones? They expired yesterday. Any advice welcome.

      Thanks

      • Alexis

I think I read somewhere (on the comments here, perhaps?) that you can send expired coupons (including RR, since they can be used at the commissary) overseas to military families… perhaps someone could give more info on this…or I’m sure you could google it… it might be one way to feel like you’re not totally wasting them!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          Alexis,

Thanks for the reply. I went to WAGS today and now am officially disgusted with that place. First off, I asked the manager and they said they couldn’t accept expired rr’s, second she said the register would beep if they tried. Third the cashier who is about 80 no offense intended my mom is this old, was very rude. I put my overflowing basket on the counter b/c I wanted to redeem all of my rr’s so as not to let them expire again. I had a q about m & m ‘s which of course had the wrong shelf tag. So I left for a minute. When I walked back to the counter she was glaring at me along with 4 customers, who were waiting on me. She had rang up all of my things. Some I wanted to do separate but she said she had to ring them up and couldn’t “just leave them there” She actually called me a cpn lady and wanted to know exactly how I wanted the transaction done. I only wanted to pay with rr’s and everyone was acting like it was monolopy money and I was getting away with something. Hello, I spent money to get these rr’s Well after I at least tried to pay with the rr’s she got confused and then decided to void it. After grabbing a few more items I then checked out only to not get the goody rr. When I asked her why she didn’t have an answer, but said they were going to do away with the Catalina machine. I then acted like a baby and said “good, because I hate that machine, and it never works right”. After I simmered out in the parking lot I went back in to complain but was told they could give me the catalina form to fill out but it probably didn’t work b/c of the rr’s used. I tried to educate the new cashier that you can pay with rr’s and still get one. She was convinced a person can’t know all the companies that are owned by the company giving the rr. Grrrrrrrrr. I went home and called catalina only to be told the m & M rr couldn’t be found. When I asked if it expired, she said “oh, it is expired”. “No, I said you’re telling me you can’t find it, so I’m assuming maybe it is expired and the tag is still up .” Then, to top it all off, I realized the not freindly cashier overcharged me for an item. I then told the catalina lady to forget it and that I didn’t like this system. I am so done with Wags. It is the biggest headache. What a complete waste of time and money. At least I have enough razors and body wash. This cpn thing, while great seems to be such a headache. I have had a bad cpn week for sure. Thanks soooo much for listening to me vent. My husband hates these stories.

  38. val

Thanks for posting that the q was removed Katie–I was getting irritated because I couldn’t find it! That explains that one! Thanks again! 🙂

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was able to get 2 packs of regular razors for .99. The packages had $2 off coupons on them, so that made it super easy. I had printed off the Red Plum ad as well, but the store was out of razors after I bought my 2 packs! The razors were 4.99 a package here in WA.
