This is kinda off topic….but it has to do with body wash…..I was at CVS this week….I was trying to buy 4 old spice body washes…which totaled $16. I used a 3 off of 15 purchase, then I used 2 BOGO. and then I tried to use 1 $1 off of 2. Why wouldn’t the cashier take this…I’m puzzled….It’s not like I was using dollar off 2 then the BOGO I clearly was still paying for 2 products….Anyone have answers I’m new to this coupon thing???!!!

    • Sandy

Sounds to me like they should have taken it. I think you were doing it right….?

    • wendy d

i’ve done that before with no problems and other times I’ve had to explain that the money off coupon is off of the 2 I am buying not the 2 free. Sometimes it takes a little patience and careful explaining to get them to understand.

    • Lisa

I used to be able to do this with no prob, but now the registers are “beeping.” My cashier pushed it through, but it’s never had to be done before. So, I guess I’m saying, I’m puzzled as well!

  2. sarah

I thought the coupon was to buy the body wash and get the deoderant free…

  3. Heidi

I cant seem to find the Dial coupon in my RP 6/13 coupons. Anyone else have this same issue? I sure love the good deals on the stuff or the boys since I have 4 of them that I have to buy this stuff for.

    • LisaS

I don’t have an “issue” with the coupons but the PROBLEM is that the coupon is to buy Dial body wash and you get the Right Guard Deodorant for free, not the other way around as it’s listed.
(not all areas get the full Red Plum inserts….rural areas get smaller ones)

  4. Katy

If the body wash is on sale for BOGO, why do you need to use two “buy a deodorant get a body wash free” coupons? It seems to me you’d only need to use one to end up paying the same amount.

    • MoKeaton

Because then you are getting BOTH for free, at the price of a Deodarant. HTH. 🙂

      • MoKeaton

Oh I see, because the second BOGO coupon is going to take $5.98 off your total….which would go towards your Deodorant.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

men’s body wash also works great on dogs 🙂

  6. skslone@zoominternet.net

The coupon I have is buy the body wash, get the DO free. Can you use that & the $ 3.00 off 2 DOs coupons?

  7. Collin

Oops! Sorry, guys! I just updated the post with the correct deal scenario. The final out of pocket expense is the same, so that’s good! 🙂

  8. Lisa

With all of the free men’s body wash and deodorant lately, this doesn’t seem like that great of deal. My husband is stocked for life!

    • Leslie

I second that. I think I have bought about 22 bottles in the last two months. All free or negative.

      • Jodi

I just counted the other day and I have 40 bottles of men’s body wash. Plus lots of Dove soap for men. I’m too spoiled to actually PAY for this ! Time to donate, I think!

  9. LInda

Lisa…was just coming on to say the same thing. I am blessed to consider $1.29 way to high a price to pay. Unless hubby is brand-loyal and I tried to break everyone of that early… LOL! Angel Soft TP and Heinz ketchup (politics notwithstanding) are about it at our house….

    • Kari C

Only Heinz in this house too! ;-D

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

our brand loyal item is Scott extra soft TP

    • andrea

My husband loves the Nivea for men hair/body/shave all in one bottle stuff and my teenaged son loves the Axe shampoo…I must say, though, that before I started couponing, the only thing they got was Suave or whatever else was cheapest!!

  10. Wendi

There was a $1.00 off any Dial body product coupon on coupons.com last week. I printed two out and I’m going to use them, so if you printed it, this should make it even cheaper. I just checked and it’s not there any more.

  11. Jessica

Do they only do RR on certain items like only P&G item, ect.? Or anything and everything? It seems like this one would be great to save if there was a RR on it in the near future…

  12. katg

I just went to Walgreens my total bill was $32.00. I had $14.00 in coupons, saved $7.00 shopping the sales and $2.50 on using a coupon from Walgreens. A total of $23.28 savings which brought my bill to $9.98.

Part of this great deal was the above deal! My husband won’t have to buy deodorant or soap for such a long time since i started this couponing! Love it

I have a quick ? for those of you Wag shoppers…kind of off topic, but I actually did this deal yesterday and that’s what reminded me…

I can’t remember 100% which two products it was, but I think I was purchasing the Nivea body wash for 6, to get the 6 rewards (or the Schick razor, I can’t remember…) Well, I got a set of hair band and a couple butterfingers as fillers to reach my ten dollars plus tax, I paid for it with a $10 register reward and the transcation went through but after all was said and done it did not print out my register reward for that transaction.

The lady was confused too, so she called her manager who said that if the items are from the same manufacturer that the RR will not print out? I find that extremely odd but just wondered if that had happened to anyone else or if everyone knew that was a rule just not me?

Regardless, I spent 14 bucks on 5 bars of neutrogena face soap, one neutrogena face wash, two mens dial body wash, and two deodorants, 8 schick razors, one scunci hairband (originally 6 dollars), a set of hairties, and a set of smaller hair clippies, about 12 butterfingers (lol), 10 hallmark cards! And I have 8 dollars of RR to spend next week! Woo hoo!

    • Cindy

Hannah – The RR I received last week from P&G won’t work on any P&G product (after looking at the coupon’s fine print) — kinda’ stinks, but I will have no trouble using $ 10.00 on another brand . . . so no, it wasn’t just you.

    • Jodi

Yes, that’s the main rule to remember at WAGS–a new RR won’t print out if you use a RR from the same manufacturer. If you forget and hand it over accidentally, get a manager to refund the items and rering it in order to print out the RR. Don’t just lose your RR!

      • hollie

actually, a RR should print out from the same manufacturer as long as the amounts are different. Like a $10 RR from PG won’t print out another 10 RR from PG but it should work for a 6RR (or other amount other and than 10). Probably was an issue with the machine being down. When that happens, I have them move to another register and ring everything up again.

  14. Janette

The post for this said this week but it was still available today when I went. I got 2 dial body washes and 2 deodorants for 5.99. Plus I used the 4.50 rr I got from the Gillette body wash i purchased with my first transaction so only 1.49 before tax. I also had a 1.00 of the Gillette body wash from Wags that printed when I bought some last month so my Gillette cost me 3.49. So for 4.98 out of pocket before tax I got 3 body washes and 2 deodorants! My husband said we are running out of room but the deals are to good to stop so we will just stock pile the basement! LOL He has been so supportive of my coupons since I started last month!
