If you missed out on the free glasses offers from Coastal Contacts over the last few months, you now have another chance to snag a free pair!

Here’s what you need to do to increase your chances of snagging free glasses…

* Head over to the Coastal Contacts Facebook page now, “like” them and click on the “Free Glasses” tab (remember, this code will not be valid until Noon EST today)

* Then head over to CoastalContacts.com and pick out your favorite frames (try to find between 3-5 frames that you would be happy with since many styles are sure to sell out quickly).

Giveaway Details/Rules

* Only the first 10,000 people will be able to use the coupon code to snag a FREE pair of glasses including the frame and standard 1.5 index lenses (note: you will need to pay shipping/handling charges which will usually range between $10-$15). Keep in mind that if you have received a free pair of glasses from Coastal Contacts before, then you are not eligible for this promotion; limit one free pair per household.

* This promotion is only valid for web orders. If you need help with your web order, call the optical staff at 1-866-333-6888.

* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.

* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.

* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15)

* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $30.

* Your free pair of glasses will include the standard 1.5 index lenses, which accommodates up to a -8.00. However, if your prescription is over a + or -2.00, you may want to upgrade to a thinner, lighter lens. If you choose to upgrade your lenses, or have selected progressives, Transitions or a tint, you will see the cost of the upgrade in your order total.

* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. They’ll even pay for the return shipping and send you a return label. Just give them a call at 1-866-333-6888 to make arrangements. Remember to keep your box and all the accessories that came with your order.

I did this offer a couple of months ago and I am very pleased with the whole process. I received my glasses and they were great. I would suggest this to any of my friends/family.

If you miss this deal, check out zenni optical. I ordered myself a pair last summer for 13.00. They were 8.00 + 5.00 s/h. They offer glasses as low as 6.95. And shipping is a flat rate fee no matter how many pair you order. This is an awesome deal for someone like me who used to pay 150.00-200.00 at walmart. And they also offer the progressive lenses for an additional fee. I’m not sure how much, but I think it’s like 50.00.

I completely agree!! Four of the five of us wear glasses, and we all wear zenni optical glasses. My last “real” pair of glasses was over $700, I have a very strong script and wanted nice looking glasses… and the very modern pair of glasses I got with the high index lenses (so they aren’t bottle caps) were $53, including polarized clip on sunglasses! My twin three year olds wear zenni glasses as well, and they are excellent – and $25 a pair!! Way better than the $200 we were quoted from the optician. If we need an adjustment we just go to the target optical center and they bend them back for us, no charge! I write about them whenever we get new glasses from them on my blog, to spread the word!

      Zenni Optical is awesome!

Thank you so much for mentioning this site. It was still going to be $150 with the upgraded lenses I have to have on Coastal, but I was able to get the thinnest lenses and super cute frames delivered through Zenni Optical for $90 just a minute ago! I just got my perscription last week at Costco and the lenses alone were $110!! Thank you SOOOO much!

Good luck with this website! I had my glasses in my cart, ready to purchase, before 12:00, but at pretty much exactly 12:00, the whole website started having errors, and I lost it, and now can’t navigate the site at all without errors. Hopefully they get it figured out soon!

      same here. 🙁

Keep trying guys !!! I just got mine. Here is the strategy that I used: I just selected women frames. Then I started from the last page, and then moved forward. If you are too specific, it may jam up the system. I hope that you get yours…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That is the only way it worked for me, too.

I basically just need reading glasses or a very low prescription. What would you all suggest putting in the prescription #’s? Our eye doctor is closed on Friday or I would call them.

  11. Jessica

    Got mine!!!!…So excited

  12. Jessica

Dang, their website must be slogged with visitors – it was being so slow. But I got my glasses, so the wait was worth it. Woo hoo!

  13. Sue M.

I got my pair a couple weeks ago, from their last round of give-aways. I love them! Very nice glasses for $14.96 shipped.

  14. CHRISTINA

I just got an awesome pair of “Halston” reading glasses for 13.94 shipped. Soooo Cute!!! Thanks Colin
P.S there was an error code but my e-mail had a message that stated my card was charged and the order was placed

    • Priscilla

So what did you put in the #s for reading glasses?

  15. brie B

I got all the way to paying for them then an error came up… i checked my account and they already drafted the money! Showing my order number since i didn’t get a page to print with order number! Thanks Collin!! So Excited!

  16. Andria

I did this last time you posted this and when my glasses came they were way too small which was totally my fault. I e-mailed them with my issue and they sent a return label and I shipped them back and they let me order a second pair for free and walked me through the whole process and the new glasses are great! They have awesome customer service and were so helpful I would use them again.

  17. ALICIA

My husband was able to snag this awesome deal. He paid $16 for shipping. Awesome! Thanks so much Colin for this post!!!!

  18. Alyshia

I did this deal a couple months ago and LOVE my new glasses! I upgraded them to the thinner lenses and paid like $38 total- still an awesome deal! Since they were so cheap, I took a bit of a chance on some ‘hip’ glasses and get compliments on them ALL the time. 🙂 Thanks Collin for posting about these awesome deals!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Aw…I’m too late again.

“Coupon Code has reached its usage limit.” 🙁

  20. LELANI

After I put through my order and confirmed payment through PayPal, then it came up with an error stating “experiencing erroneous problems with site”! I didn’t do anything, just took a deep breath and decided to check my email. I had received 3. One from PayPal confirming payment and two from Coastal Contacts. One confirming my order and the other telling me to set up an account login through their page so I could track my order that way as well. My order was put through although I had got the error message and I ended up just ordering the frames and paying only $20 for shipping/handling/insurance! =) Thanks SO MUCH for posting this FABULOUS deal! For those who missed this deal and are waiting for the next one to come along, know that you do NOT have to order lenses!!! When you select your frame and it asks for your prescription numbers, just enter 0.0 and “NONE” in all of them! I put in my PD though, that was it =) Good luck everyone! =D
