We have done postcards from Vista Prints for our Xmas cards the last few years and LOVE it 🙂
CAN YOU PUT FAMILY PHOTOS ON THEM?
Yes, you can but they do charge a $2.49 upload fee.
Are there any good ones that you can have the card be mostly your photo?! It seems all the holiday cards w/ the upload feature have such a small area for the photo…. Thanks.
I noticed that too. But I uploaded my vertical photo to the last one in the second row of the Holiday styles (the one with burgundy and gold holly leaves) and it looks good. I put my photo in the middle and a short message on the right. I agree that these are designed to be postcards for businesses and most probably won’t look good with a family photo. I think you just have to upload your photo and experiment to see if any look right. I’d go with the simplest looking designs.
I did the angles one and the pic. looked big in the view window.
can you post the link for the cards you liked? i saw the angel one, but can’t find the burgundy leaves one! thanks!
There is a really cute one in the borders section. It is the one I used. Has different size circles (bubbles) in Red, Green, Lime, and Pink.
sorry i just have to share this…my $50 target card came in the mail today ! (from the dr oz giveaway)
thats awesome!
Thank you Collin! I would have never thought to do these without your post. I love the style choices and can’t wait to get them in the mail! 🙂
Another plus to doing postcards without envelopes is that the postage is only 28 cents for postcards. So, I’m thinking of adding a family photo to one of the postcards for a total of $9.02 ($6.53 shipping + $2.49 upload fee). Do you guys think it would be tacky to send holiday photo postcards without envelopes? I usually send the 4×8 photo cards with envelopes but have not found many good deals on them this year. I think I’m spoiled from all the free deals last Christmas!
I don’t think it is tacky to not use envelopes. Our family ordered these last week and I’m thrilled about the price, the convenience and the personalization. Thanks, Collin!
Forgot to mention that for that price, you can print your message on the back side which is a big bonus for those of us who usually write a Christmas letter. It’ll be short and sweet this year…only what I could fit on the left half of the back of the card! Plus, I’m saving letter copying costs, postage, folding letters, licking envelopes, photo printing costs…I think these postcards are a wonderful alternative to the traditional cards, photos and letters I have sent in the past.
Any idea how long this deal will last? I’m waiting to order holiday cards until I deliver our third child and I’m due in the next couple weeks. I hate to miss out on these deals though.
I just ordered 100 ( I did thank yous with envelopes) delivered to my door for 10.75! Awesome! Thanks so much!!!
Just placed a order for the postcards. Added a family photo and it charged 2.49. Not sure how they will turn out but the total cost was 9.02 which is a super great price, not to mention the savings on postage .24 v/ .39 . Thanks so much for the info. Sincerely, Kim Harris
I just ordered ours, instead of holiday I opted for one of the borders, with the green, lime, pink, and red circles. I needed enough room to write out Luke 2:8-14 using different fonts and coordinating colors on the front and a personal Merry Christmas message on the back. I also remembered to add our family website and address, for those who may not have it. Thank you so much!
I am getting married this summer so i used this to do save the date cards! thank you soo much for the deal it totally helped this young couple on a tight budget for our wedding 🙂
That is what I was going to do! We just set our date today! Which card did you choose? Did you add a photo on it or use their template?
I tried to do this in December for Christmas cards but the “free” shipping was 2-3 weeks. Better luck next year!
