In the past few days, I have been bombarded with emails from readers hoping to find a great deal on the Despicable Me DVD. Unfortunately, there have not been any *HOT* deals (in my opinion); however, Amazon currently has a decent deal on either the DVD or Blu Ray/DVD Combo that I thought was worth mentioning. If you are determined to give this DVD as a Christmas gift, then check out these offers…

* Despicable Me Blu Ray/DVD Combo $21.99 + FREE shipping with Amazon Prime or Free Standard Shipping (no code required) plus get a $5 Video on Demand Credit
* Despicable Me DVD Single Edition $14.99 + FREE shipping with Amazon Prime or Free Standard Shipping (no code required) plus get a $5 Video on Demand Credit

**If you’re browsing Amazon, you may want to check out some of the deals below on Children’s Wooden Furniture (keep in mind that that the reviews are mixed but the prices seem right!)…

From what I understand with the $5 VOD Credit you can only get it once per account. HTH

Great deal on the movie… 🙂

The blue ray combo pack was $16 at walmart

    • Tracy

do you know how much the dvd pack was at walmart?

In my Dominicks (Safeway) ad it had $16.99 for the DVD, a box of Capri Sun, Pop Secret Popcorn, and Peppridge Farm cookies. I believe the Blue Ray was $24.99 with all these extras. Not bad if you factor in those freebies!

I noticed that too. This deal, and the Shrek deal are both available till the 21st. I’m still wondering if you can get both deals..Shrek, Despicable Me…the free grocery items…minus the $5.00 Shrek coupon all in one transaction….or if its one deal period per Safeway card. I’m thinking about going up there to find out. The deal just says this “Limit one offer per DVD purchase” Can anyone tell me how that works?

If it works it would be about $29.00 (less if we can find a Despicable Me coupon before the 21st) for:

      Shrek regular DVD
      Despicable Me regular DVD
      (1) box Capri Sun
      (1) 12 pack Sierra Mist
      (1) box Pepperidge Farm cookies
      (1) box Pepperidge Farm crackers
      (1) 3-count Pop Secret Popcorn
      (1) 1,2,3 or 4 pack Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn

My Fred Meyer had the 3-disc combo for $17.99 but were out in a few hours. So I took my ad over to Walmart and they price-matched it! Not a bad price for a new blu-ray combo!

    • Becca

They are also giving a box of free pop secret popcorn with it if anyone can still get them at their Fred Meyer.

I did the deal at cvs and it was $9.99 after you buy the $15 itunes card, but I can’t figure out why $10.00 off the movie printed on the receipt. So I don’t know what to do w/ that bc I don’t need 2.

    • MaryStidham

I did the CVS deal too–bought another $15 iTunes gift card and used the $10 coupon I received from the first transaction to snag a “free” copy of the movie. Makes for a great FREE Christmas gift to someone on my list =)

    • Laura

Good Idea! I am going to do this – i missed this on the CVS AD. Thank you Becca

Anybody know of a good deal with “How to Train your Dragon” Blu-ray combo?

    • Rachel

I got mine from Amazon (we have a credit there since they seem to pay the highest for textbook buybacks). I payed $18.99 (free shipping with prime) for it which was just a little more than buying just the dvd from Amazon. I bet there is better deals out there but I am pregnant and due in 3 weeks so I don’t have the energy to shop around. Hope that helps 🙂

      • Kaylene

How does Amazon do textbook buy backs??

On 12/14/10 I was able to order Despicable Me 3-disc combo and Carolina both in Blue Ray for $29.98 w/shipping from Amazon plus the $5.00 on demand coupon. I thought it was a pretty good deal 🙂

When I went into Best Buy to snag the deal for Shrek the Final Chapter DVD for $14.99 minus the $5 coupon, I noticed that the Despicable Me Blue Ray/DVD Combo pack was only $21.99 so I picked it up. I think the DVD version was $13.99

  9. Mitch

I just got Despicable Me at Borders with the 2nd disc of shorts.
    $35 – 50% = $17.50 for the both.
I am a paid memeber so I got another 10% off.
    Not too bad!

For BJs members that got the flyer in the mail with the coupons, there was a $5 off coupon in the special holiday flyer that came in the mail. Anyone think Walmart will honor this?

  11. Mary

I ordered the single DVD from NBC Universal Store, free shipping guaranteed before X-mas, and free Despicable Me silly bandz for $13.98. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

I got the Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital copy of Despicable Me at Borders for $15 using my 50% coupon off one item!
