Target: Buy $1.28 Worth of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda = FREE Better Homes & Gardens Subscription ($22 Value!)
If you are in need of baking soda and have a Target nearby, you’ll definitely want to keep your eyes peeled for this deal! I’ve heard from a few of you that Target has specially marked boxes of 1lb Arm & hammer baking soda priced at only $0.64! Even sweeter, if you purchase 2 specially marked boxes of baking soda for a total of $1.28, you can submit for a FREE 1 year subscription to Better Homes & Gardens Magazine… a $22 value! So this great magazine offer more than pays for the baking soda! Sounds good to me!
Come back and let us know if you spot these specially marked boxes!
* This offer is valid through 5/31/12 and limited to one per household.
(Thanks, Jodi & Lisa!)
I found these marked boxes at Walmart for around the same price and was able to snag the free subscription. Thanks for the tip!
Found it a Target in Stafford, VA
Also found size 4 pampers 54 ct on clearance for $16.49 with a coupon booklet inside!
They had them at our Walmart too!
I saw them at ShopRite last week!
I wanted to check and see if there was an option for a money back-rebate if you don’t want the magazine 🙂
They have them at Publix as well.
the picture looks like a walmart shelf tag. good deal. I need baking soda
i was thinking the same thing, its a walmart.
Ditto. Is this deal found at Walmart or Target? Or both? 🙂
Thanks! I am adding it to the shopping list to check out! I don’t have a Target, but glad to hear others found it at Walmart! Do you have to buy 2 boxes to get the subscription? I believe there is also a $1/2 coupon as well. 🙂
Yes, you need to buy 2 boxes.
Thanks! I realized that after I had posted my comment. I guess it helps if I read. LOL Thank you though!
I found these at my local grocery store (Giant) on Tues — what a fun find!
I’ve been putting baking soda in my washing machine to help the laundry smell better. I go through a ton of it now, so this is awesome!
When do you add baking soda to your wash? That’s a good idea!
No money back option that I noticed and I found them at the commissary for .39 with the rebate attached.
Yay!!! I’m heading there today. Thanks!
Hey aren’t their coupons for baking soda included in our peelies from the detergent?? 🙂 I can’t remember and my coupons aren’t with me at work today 🙁
Yes Jessica! $1 off 2. 🙂
WOOOHOOO!! Good deal 🙂
How do I get a coupon for this? THANKS
Found them the other day at Target! I go through a ton during the summer making de-skunking solution! Will my Dog EVER learn!!!!
Teri, my dog smells like a skunk all on her own 🙂 I’m going to try washing her in with this! Thanks!
Skunk recipe
1qt hydrogen peroxide
1/4c baking soda
1t dawn dish soap
Wet the dog down let dry if you can. Then give them a bath. It worked on my husband too. (that was thanks to the dog also. He was NOT happy. I was greatful the dog survived my husband after that!!!! It was a rough
Summer!
I’m suddenly thankful for the evil opossums that we have. Sounds like the skunks would be MUCH worse. Wishing you a better smelling fall!
Hahaha, this just made me laugh. :]
ME TOO!
Found and picked up this deal a few days ago at the Super Target on Main St in Houston TX, near the Astrodome.
thanx will be headed there today 🙂
I saw them at Kroger last week, but they were $.97. Little cheaper at Walmart, but still worth it for the subscription deal
does this mag have coupons?
a few
Do I mail in my receipt and UPC or do I need the ones with the peelie’s? Any additional info is appreciated
You need the specially marked box; it has a tear off form to submit with a copy of your receipt and you write down the UPCs #s on the form.
Thanks so much – At least I know what I am looking for!! 🙂
I know this is not related but I need some help. I am looking for a Wisk deal that I saw probably on Sunday where you bought 6 wish bottles and the final price ended up +$2 per bottle. Can anyone help me go to where I saw this deal? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.
The deal is at CVS until Saturday.
I think that was the cvs giftcard deal.
Thanks! I thought I was going crazy not finding it again!
I bought 6 bottles of Wisk $4.99 each at CVS. Used 6 $2Qs from 10/16SS. Paid $19.38 total w/ tax. Got a $10 giftcard (prints with $29.94 total). Final cost: $1.56 per bottle.
woooooooohooooo
Just got mine another day at Walmart…
found these at my local grocery store here in des moines, iowa!
That’s a Walmart picture; not Target. 🙂 I bought these last week when I needed a fller item. (I don’t like waiting for a manager to come when I have an overage.)
I actually saw these boxes at my commissary for under .50
what if i already have the BHG mag sub till next feb, will i be able to use this sub to extend for another year? any info is much appreciated.
/jonie
Not sure if you can extend your subscription, but if you already get BH&G, this would make a great, (and free!) Christmas gift! 🙂
I also thought it might be a great gift – could you tell me how it works, please? Do you just fill out the recipient address? Thanks!
I think you could do that, as long as you mail in the receipt and list the 2 upcs. Just put the gift recipient’s name and address instead of yours.
i did my already 🙂
I actually got a post card in a cookbook I received for Christmas for a free subscription to this magazine. Do you think they would extend my current subscription, or would they start sending me two each month?
I’m in Maine, and these are in our Walmart, Target and Shaw’s grocery store!
This deal is active at our Target in Tuscaloosa, AL ($1.40 for 2 boxes) I had 3 transactions so that I would have 3 separate receipts —- coupon expires 5/31/2012……great Christmas gifts! Thanks for sharing —- sscceewweeeet
I found this deal three weeks ago at winco. They are only .52 each 🙂
what kind of coupons does this mag have that is so great?
Thanks for posting this awesome deal!
I went to the commissary for regular grocery shopping just a couple of hours ago. I was also going to get 2 boxes of baking soda to score this awesome deal, but it was literally ALL gone! Of course, not the bigger boxes of baking soda, nor the other brands of baking soda. So seriously, someone needed 40 boxes of baking soda (in that particular size), or 20 subscriptions to BHG? Oh, and yes, they were on sale, but it was only like a 5 cent difference, and it was still cheaper to get the bigger boxes.
Now, I’m MOSTLY writing in humor (I honestly thought it was pathetically hilarious imagining someone clearing a shelf of baking soda, lol!), but for those who need a lesson in coupon etiquette, this is a great page to read (I don’t own this blog or even know the person who owns it): https://www.couponing101.com/2011/09/coupon-etiquette-tip-1-dont-clear-the-shelves.html
For all those who practice self-control and let others share in the joy of savings and deals, thank you!
Amen! I have this problem at Target ALL the time!!
I accidently threw away my receipt!! Will they honor it if I send just the form?
Where can I find the $1/ 2 coupon?
Awesome deal! Thanks so much! I love it!
I know I’m late on this, but I just wanted to thank you one more time Collin for posting all these great deals. I bought 4 boxes of this at Wal Mart yesterday and am sending one of the subscriptions to my Mom for Christmas, we’re all a little tight on money right now and this is such an awesome inexpensive gift! I’m keeping the other one, to add to my collection of free magazine subscriptions (most of which I found out about here). So anyway, thanks for helping make our holidays more fun and less expensive!
I found the baking soda at Meijer in Grand Rapids, MI (Kentwood on Marketplace to be more specific). I hope this helps someone and thanks again Colin!
