In observance of Veterans Day on November 11th, select Bed & Breakfasts (B&B’s) and Inns are providing FREE rooms on Sunday, November 11th, to honor servicemen and women currently serving or who have previously served their country. This program currently includes more than 210 participating Inns and B&B’s!
If you are currently a military service member or a veteran, be sure to make reservations NOW as many participating B&B’s and Inns are filling up quickly (reservations need to be made directly with the participating Inns and B&B’s). (Thanks, Mommy’s Fabulous Finds & Stacey!)
Thanks! I sent this to my grandma and grandpa in case they want to do it.
I always send these deals to my uncle. He’s done 3 tours.
What a great gesture. Even us non vets will take notice of the participating B & B’s
Tell them to RUSH! Most of GA ones are gone 🙁
I am soooo excited!
I’ve missed this several times in the past. I just booked the Southern Cross Dude Ranch in Madison, GA. They offer horseback riding and have fab buffets at every meal!
Plus, and here’s the best extra part-they take our chihuahua’s! We’ll be able to take them and board them at their stables. Thanks so much Collin! What a funtastic adventure!
Hubbs served 2 tours Viet Nam, btw. 🙂
Congrats for you 🙂
SOOOOO excited after 17 phone calls to finally find one in WV that accepts kids and gives preference to Active Duty like us. I’m crossing “stay at a bed & breakfast” off my bucket list, to boot. TYSM, Collin!!!! ☼
Made a reservation! Thank you! We are very excited!
I also made a reservation 🙂 it will be nice to get away for the night! Thanks Collin!!
Thanks Collin, my Vet and I will be going!
I just made a facebook post and tagged my military friends that I figured would be interested. One of them is super stoked about a cheap date night with her hubby. Thanks!
Finally got my hubby to call and we’re going to one in the Nashville area which is only a couple of hours away! This will be the first year we’ve been able to participate! We both work a lot to try to make ends meet and can’t afford to miss work, but we’re both already off Monday the 12th. Then I started looking to see what we want to do while we’re there and discovered the Nashville Zoo has free admission for active military and vets on Veterans’ Day!
It seems like a small thing, but I would not have imagined we would actually be able to afford a 2-day/1-night getaway anytime in the foreseeable future! Basically, it will only be the cost of gas and a couple of meals (and I’m sure I’ll be able to find some great deals on food!)
My hubby is amused by the fact that I’m sooo excited because I haven’t had a chance to go to a Publix in over a year and we’ll be very close to several locations on this trip!
