I wonder how the rewards will change once they merge with OfficeMax later this year.
I hope they don’t go with the Max Perks rewards. We have lost more money with that program. We just price match at DePot now rather than having to keep receipts and faxing to the home office. It hasn’t been worth my time that it has been taking to get our money back. Even the employees say lots of people complain about the program.
I haven’t had any problems with Max Perks and I like that they “roll’. Do the rewards at Office Depot “roll”?
I expect that the number of great offers will be reduced since completion will have been greatly reduced. The only major competition left will be Staples.
But they say the merger is due to major competition from Walmart, online, and other major retailers. There will be less choices for shopping for consumers. Staples makes most of its money from government and business contracts.
