FREE Comic Book Day (May 4th)
Calling all you comic book readers! Free Comic Book Day, the first Saturday in May every year, is when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. Sounds good to me! 🙂
*Go here for more information and to find a participating store near you.
(Thanks, Megan, Brenda Writes a Blog, I Crave Freebies & Saving in Sumner Co.!)
I live in a boring, culture less town! Boo!
I <3 my little pony, Star Trek, fantastic four, GI Joe…the list keeps going. This is a freebie I could actually love.
Yea! Half Price Books is offering a free comic book with any purchase. Awesome bargain. Plus, if you have any movies, books, cds, or vinyls to sell, you may get everything for free! Love that store.
We go every year – even my 5yr olds have a blast 🙂
This is such a fun day. I highly recommend everyone go! I don’t live near a participating store anymore, but it is awesome for those who have stores nearby.
Also, a tip for those visiting Half Price Books: it is unadvertised, but if you wear a comic/superhero outfit/shirt/costume they may give you a $5 gift card while you browse the store. Don’t expect it, but I’ve gotten one the past three years while wearing superhero shirts.
Thanks for the heads up on this. The comic book store we went to was awesome, they actually gave each person 5 free comic books. The employees there were also super friendly, we will definitely be going back throughout the year.
