Thanks for posting! I was in the market for a new set 🙂
I have this set and they are great!:) They last a long time and really do take up minimal space.
Are these made of that softer, “cloudy” plastic that tends to pit/melt in microwave?
No they’re hard plastic
I love this set too!! I got 2 sets Black Friday last year on the cheap 😉
Erin, I haven’t had any problems with them melting/pitting in the micro either. I think they are a good quality (way better than Gladware!!) and I would defiantly buy again (I’m fully stocked right now)!!!

under the heading “in this bundle” in one set of these it says
Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids 24-Piece Plus 4 Food Storage Set:

•Four 1/2-cup containers with lids
•Two 1-1/4-cup containers with lids
•Two 2-cup containers with lids
•Two 3-cup containers with lids
•Two 5-cup containers with lids
•Two 7-cup containers with lids
• Rubbermaid Food Storage 24 Piece Set is made of plastic
•Microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe
`now if you multiply that times two you arent going to get as much as it says in the “item description”….im slightly concerned someone at walmart added incorrectly…i have always found that when purchasing these sets that the lids are included in the total count so im not sure that you are going to get as much as it says…
It adds up to 28. They count the lids as a piece. So 14 containers and 14 lids.
They always count the lids in the total.
amy and fran what im saying is that in collins post she has 56 total containers not counting the lids. 🙂 she has that you get 8 7-cup containers whereas im thinking you are only getting 4 total instead of 8. does that make more sense? 🙂
Lyndi, I think you’re correct! 2-28 piece sets would yield 56 pieces (half lids & half containers), so 28 total containers. Thanks for noticing.
Looks like there are really just 14 containers with lids. Thanks for pointing that out.
They canceled my order. I think this is over.
From the Rubbermaid Website:
24 Piece Set Easy Find Lids: (#10Z0)
Set Includes: (2) .5 cup, (2) 1.25 cup, (2) 2 cup, (2) 3 cup. (2) 5 cup, (2) 7 cup containers
Plus the bonus would give you 14 containers and 14 lids.
Walmart had the 24 piece set for $7 last year on Black Friday – I bought a couple of boxes and am glad I did – good to pack the kids lunches! Hopefully, they will have the same deal again this year!
That’s exactly what I decided. I also picked a couple of these up last year on black friday. Walmart always has some type of storage container on sale. I decided to wait and try my luck then to get a better deal.
I went to the Walmart site to order and they say that it is 56 piece set as well. 28 piece set x 2 sets=56? They have the same description list that Collin has.
I’m pretty sure they mean there are 56 pieces, half of which are containers and half lids. So the way they described the contents of the set is a little confusing:
e.g., “(16) 1/2-cup containers with lids” (from Walmart site) actually means “(8) 1/2-cup containers and (8) lids.”
BTW, I bought a couple of sets several years ago from Walmart on Black Friday. We’ve used them over and over, and they look good as new. No pitting, melting, etc. We don’t use them in the microwave anymore (too many health concerns with heating food in plastic) and have recently begun replacing them with glass containers for that. But we still use them regularly for refrigerated or room temperature items. They seal tightly and clean easily.
Thanks to everyone who pointed out that (8) of something really means 4 lids and 4 bases! I was thinking this was a really good deal, but now that it’s only half of what I thought, I’ll pass for now 🙂 I would have been disappointed to figure that out after I had already ordered!
“Rubbermaid Case of 2 Easy-Find 24-Piece Plus 4 Food Storage Sets bonus” – it’s 2 (two) sets of 28-piece; total – 56 pcs (28 containers and 28 lids). Read the description online…
