Bought the exact same bike for the same price in the store on Thanksgiving night…had I known!!!! The experience was such a disaster, and this was really the only deal I was after. Nice to know you can snag this deal from your couch! 🙂

Is this to big for a 5yo…not sure what size to get him. He is kinda tall

    • jules

      yes, too big

    • Kaylee

Depends on the kid because my 5 year old is getting this one for christmas because the size below it is too small for him now.

    • Heather

Yes, way too big. My 10 year old has this size bike, where my almost 5 year old can fit perfectly on a 12″ bike (that is the right size for a 5 year old – 12″)

I disagree, a 12″ bike would be way too small for a five year old to ride comfortably. My three year old does well on a 12″ and she is fairly small for her age, while my five year old has had a 16″ bike since her fourth birthday. I’d say by the time she is seven she may be ready for a 20″. (At least that’s the age two of our neighbors’ daughters were the summer they each got new bikes.)

I was looking more into a 16inch bike for my 5 year old. I bought this one for my 8 year old.

    • Sara

My 5 yr old got a bike this size for his b-day.

    • anna

If he is tall this might be the size for him. You do not want to have to buy another bike next year because he out grown it

The more I look at…it is too big

    • Ann

You can google what size you need based on height. I think 20″ is for around 48″-56″ child.

      • J

My daughter is 4 yrs old but the average size of a 5 yr old. She has a 16 inch bike and it is a little big for her. HTH.

    • Brandy

It says age 8 and up so I’m thinking it might be too big for my 5 year old. HTH!

    • M

My really tall 5 yr old fits on a 16″ bike. HTH

Is this a better bike than the Black Friday 20″ Huffy?

  5. jennifer

It’s for 7-9 year olds (for the most part). I was litterally just online looking for a new bike for him! Great timing!

  6. Dee

There are 16” bikes on sale for $39. I had a $20 gift card, so total came to $22 shipped.

Thank you so much, Collin! We’ve been searching for a bike for our son for a while. I’m due on Saturday with our third, so going to the stores to look for one was soon not going to be an option.

  7. Amy

Great price too bad they got new ones this summer!

  8. Jaime

My 5 year old (who is over 48″) rides is getting a 20″ for Christmas. What a great deal!!

Thanks for the post. Another Toys for Tots donation! I called them and they will assemble it. I wouldn’t have bought it if they didn’t. Not good with assembly 🙂 Glad to help others.

A billion thanks! We were going to shell out around $300 for two bikes for our boys. Now? $100! Thank you Collin! My husband is a hip2save fan now. 🙂

Is it a light weight bike? That’s the part I find frustrating – our adult bikes are so light but they make little children push around a beast of a bike. Mine are still learning to ride, so are frequently pushing bikes up the hills.
