Amazon Prime Members: Free 1 Year ShopRunner Membership for New Members Only ($79 Value)
Talk about some smart marketing! 😀 As I mentioned earlier today here, Amazon.com just announced the Amazon Prime Annual Membership fee will now increase to $99 for all existing members. In the wake of this announcement, ShopRunner.com is offering up all Amazon Prime Members (who have not yet renewed their membership at the higher rate) a FREE One-Year ShopRunner Membership (a $79 value)! To claim your free membership, head over here and sign up for ShopRunner and then be sure to provide proof of your Amazon Prime membership within 24 hours.
Here’s how to provide proof of your Amazon Prime membership:
* Go to www.amazon.com/gp/primecentral
* Log in if necessary
* Click on “View printable receipt”
* Copy the full receipt.
* Open a new email addressed to DoneWithPrime@ShopRunner.com
* Paste the receipt into the body of the email and hit send.
And if you are an American Express Cardholder, don’t forget that you can head on over here to score a complimentary ShopRunner membership as long as you keep an eligible American Express Card as your default card in Express Checkout at ShopRunner! When you are signing up, you will be asked to verify that you are an American Express Card member by filling out a form with your American Express card info. Keep in mind that your American Express Card number is required to validate that you have an eligible American Express Card. Your Card will never be billed without your authorization. Once you have verified your account, you will be able to finish your free enrollment!
As a reminder, ShopRunner offers up FREE two-day shipping and free returns across a growing network of nearly 80 retailers. This FREE membership should definitely come in handy when shopping online!
(Thanks, Clip and Follow and Freebies for a Cause!)
Do you happen to know if I could add on an extra year to my current shoprunner membership by doing this?
No, I believe this is only for new ShopRunner members.
it says new shoprunner customers only. hth:)
Is there a way to sign up for Shoprunner without providing them with a CC number?
You can enter it at first and then go into your account and delete it. Worked for me last time I did it.
I just signed up for the free 1 year and it didn’t ask me for any CC information.
Do you know if this works if you have the Amazon Prime student version?
I just did it with my student account.
where did you view the receipt? I dont see it with my student account.
I can’t seem to view the receipt with my student account. where did you find it?
Really glad I still have the Amazon Student rate, even though it is also increasing by $10.
Ditto!
I don’t know anything about Shoprunner. How many of you all use it and like it?
I’m wondering the same question. The only stores that I might use it on would be Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Dominos, or FTD Flowers.
I have used it maybe once in 2 yrs. it’s free so I keep it. But I would never pay for it.
I got it free for a year. I wouldn’t pay for it because the stores it works with aren’t ones I shop at often. But when I do end up wanting something from one of the stores, having the free shipping has really been a great deciding factor in actually purchasing the item from them. No complaints about it at all.
I’ve only used it for Toys R Us. I would never pay for it; it’s just too limited. There are even product restrictions within participating companies, so that’s another hurdle to jump over. It’s not at all comparable to Amazon Prime and wouldn’t be a good replacement, in my opinion.
Shoprunner is a joke. I have used it maybe once. I would never pay for it. It’s good at Toys R Us, but you have to find Shoprunner eligible toys, otherwise you end up paying for shipping.
I totally agree. I had it for free for 2yrs and used it once. The only place I shopped at was Toys R Us and the majority of what I wanted was not eligible. I think Amazon is well within reasonable charging $99 if you use their service often. They have the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with and many don’t realize you can share your prime with other members. My son uses my Prime account and shops at least once a week. Of course mom pays for it but if you split the cost its so worth it,
I’ve only used it for like, tru, mlb ship when they had that great $10/10 promo, drugstore.com and a few other stores: prob used it a total of 10 times in the 2 yrs I’ve had it (for free) it’s good for free but not worth buying esp since it’s almost never 2 day shipping, just free shipping.
Is this offer valid only for the primary member on the prime account or for all members under the prime account?
Sadly I don’t use it as much as I use my Amazon Prime 🙁
I signed up without doing the steps with the receipt, and it said my membership expires on 6/11/2005.
I meant 2015.
me to
Do u need to get amazon prime also. To get this promotion of free shop runner. Im a little confused
wonder if i could sign up for the free trial of amazon prime, use the offer from shoprunner and have my prime membership extended for free? any ideas? thnx!
I’m wondering the same thing. 🙂
From what I’m understanding, this is free Shoprunner, not free Amazon Prime. I don’t see how your prime membership can be extended for free.
Okay. I get it. Thanks.
I love that shoprunner gives free delivery on Dominos pizza! I was so surprised by that!! (And their $6 each if you buy two mediums is a GREAT deal!) And shoprunner’s interface is really great … once you have it, your browser automatically tells you that the website you are on is going to give you free shoprunner shipping. You don’t have to go check some other website nor do you have to search from within shoprunner.
Agreeing on the Dominos integration, which waives the delivery fee. Our neighborhood got redistricted from the local store’s delivery area…guess it would help when ordering from another area. I saw PBS is ShopRunner enabled, so I’m going to check this free membership out!
The link is not working for me. Did they end this promotion?
Can you do this if you aren’t a current Amazon Prime member?
So if I continue to be a loyal Amazon Prime member, my membership increases and I get no great deals like this Shop Runner deal. Nice Amazon!
Amazon and ShopRunner have nothing to do with each other, so it’s not Amazon’s fault you’re not eligible. You’re not really missing anything. I love my Prime so much more!
are y’all having a hard time getting the “get it now” page to load?? I can’t seem to get it to work. ..
Yes it did not work for me either.
Sign up link didn’t work for me either…..
I kept clicking it and it finally went to the right page.
It worked! I had to open it in a different tab, but it finally worked!!! Thanks, Collin!!!
I wouldn’t pay for it, but I’m happy to have it for the free dominos delivery.
I just cancelled my renewal with amazon. I am sending a message, I loved it at Christmas but I will just have to use Free shipping. I understand cost increases, but they are making money.
One increase in 9 years!!! ONE! It’s $1.67 per month extra, making it $8.25!!! Of course they’re making money, they’re a business, that’s what businesses have to do. They’re a huge employer in the US and support other employers such as UPS, FedEx, etc. they HAVE to make money. I just don’t get this irrational thought pattern.
Don’t get all stressed out. Amazon Prime at an increased price is not for everyone. It is a matter of choice, simple as that!
I did this on my phone and it did not ask for credit card information!!
Is this only for Amex card holders
It says I have to have an American Express card for this…
Actually if you have American Express credit card shoprunner membership is lifelong free u don’t even need to be amazon member 😉
Well I don’t and don’t want one, but this will not allow me to sign up UNLESS I have an AmEx card. I didn’t think that was to be the case.
I have used Shoprunner 5 or 6 times in the last 2 years. American Eagle, Eastern Mountain Sports, Sports Authority (no longer available), and Drugstore.com. The main feature that I like is free return shipping. However, I have a free membership and would not pay for the service because there are not enough store options available. Since it is free, it is worth giving it a try.
