Hi Nicole,
You can still continue to use your Jewel card to redeem SavingStar offers. Just scan your card when you buy the products and your SavingStar savings will post to your account within a few days. We understand that not all store cashiers and service desk attendees will be aware of SavingStar and may tell you that you do not need to scan your card. However, it is important to note that the cashier must scan your card when checking out in order to redeem SavingStar offers.
If you no longer have a card, contact the stores’ customer support team at 877-932-7948. Please let them know that you use SavingStar and you will need to be issued a “Upromise keytag”. Customer support will ask for your information and you will then be sent a keytag in the mail which you can register in your SavingStar account as the loyalty card number for Jewel-Osco (for other readers, this information applies for ACME, Albertsons, and Shaw’s as well). I kept my Jewel card so I could continue to receive SavingStar rebates. I try to use self checkout whenever I buy SavingStar items so I don’t have to explain to cashiers why I need them to scan the card. Assuming that you did not keep your card, you should be able to get a Upromise keytag. Check out the blog on the SavingStar website, there is a post from 12/2/11 that tells how to get a keytag. I believe the rep from SavingStar has posted on here more recently that this is an option for Jewel shoppers, which is the only reason I thought of it.
I uploaded my first receipt. Crossing my fingers everything goes well. I’m thankful for the extra stores we are allowed to received credit from as I bought these little cookies at Dollar General.
How do I upload a receipt to SavingStar. I can’t find a option to do this with my SS android app

I can’t scan bar codes for some reason. Is it not compatible with iPad2? I tried to email customer service but have yet to hear back :/
If I’m correct, the ipad 2 will only update to a certain IOS. Hence the reason they keep coming out with new models.

I will have to say. Savings star is one of the most disappointing of all the rebate phone apps! Does anyone else feel this way?? I use ibotta , checkout 51, and shopminum. With these other cash back sites you can shop virtually any store, upload your receipt and your cash back is posted within 24 hours. Sometimes in as little as 4 hours!
Before with savings stars I only used it one time because the only store in my area was Winn Dixie, we’ll and cvs but their stock is so limited. I was excited to see you could now upload receipts from Walmart. So I went last Friday and bought the freebee toilet paper and little Debbie snack cakes. I uploaded the receipt and it’s been almost 1 week and no cash back. I was expecting a 1.50 back for both items.
The most frustrating part about their app is you can’t even go on it to see if you have any pan doing receipts. You can do this with the other cash back sites. I emailed customer service yeasterday

You can see if you have any pending receipts by going to Account in the app. All receipts are processed within 1-3 days, and if a receipt is rejected for an reason, you should receive an email. Since you haven’t received the cash yet, I’m assuming that perhaps you did not receive our email. (The most common reason receipts are rejected is if they don’t include the receipt number). If you emailed our customer service team, they will respond to you within 2 business days. Thanks, Josh
Checkout 51 is the only one that I have no issues with. I haven’t had any luck with scanning bar codes on any of the platforms. However, when I use Savingstar at Giant Eagle, it is processed in a day or two, very quickly.
Does CVS carry this size?

To answer my own question, I found this snack cup at my CVS for $1. They are with all the $1 cup size cereal.
So I have a Kroger card that I use at my Ralphs store and is registered to my Savingstar as a Ralphs card… both stores are part of the same chain but I’ve never purchased anything to see if I actually get credit at SavingStar. Does anyone know if this will work correctly? I use the Kroger card at Ralphs and get all their coupons loaded correctly so I’m thinking it should…
I use one card to shop at all the Kroger stores. I’ve never had an issue with saving star rejecting it when I shop at a different store then what my card says

@ Josh from Saving Star, ever since the update, the SS app is acting all kinds of funky for me. When I open it, It is either all black or it flashes quickly. I have to force close out. When I reopen it, the page stays white. Sometimes the app loads properly after a minute or so, Sometimes it stays white and I have to force close again. Wondering if it’s the app or my phone. I am using a samsung galaxy s3 if that helps. Thanks!

Why doesn’t Meijer’s link Saving Star with their mperks? Just punch in your phone number, and the purchase is recorded. This way issues with the app does not come into play. Make it easier; not frustrating!!
We’d love for Meijer to allow SavingStar members to link offers to their cards but they have yet to do so. Please write on their Facebook page and tell your store manager. It helps when stores hear from their shoppers. Thanks, Josh
