Treat your teachers to an affordable movie night with this easy gift idea!
Treat your teacher to a movie night! 🎬
If you’re looking for a unique and easy gift for Teacher Appreciation Week, check out these fun and free printables that make it super easy to gift Redbox promo codes!
Consider making a small gift box and including your teacher’s favorite treats or simply attach the free printable card to a bag of microwave popcorn and a plastic popcorn container. This will be such a fun and affordable way to gift a movie night to your favorite teacher!
To use this printable card print it on cardstock paper and head over to Redbox.com and click “Buy Promo Codes” to purchase a promo card bundle. Bundles start at $9.95 for 5 DVD rentals!
Print a copy of the Redbox code(s) and stick the copy in with your treats or simply add the code to the bottom of the printable card in the space provided. Promo codes can then be redeemed at any Redbox kiosk.
Hip Tip: As another idea, you could gift a code that you may have received via email/text if you are a Redbox subscriber to make this gift even more affordable.
I love this idea. Thanks so much.
It is only showing the value but does not state the number of DVDs I can rent for purchasing $10 or $20. Minimum value is $10.
Hi Shirley — make sure you have clicked on “Promo Codes” not “redbox cards”
LOVE this!!
Is there not a way to purchase just individual codes? I was going to do this for allll of my sons teachers but not if I can’t just purchase one code per each!
I bought the code before and they will give you individual codes. I did something similar for prizes for my sister’s baby shower.
I just want to purchase 2rentals for a baby shower how does this work
Make sure you choose promo codes and not gift cards though.
Great! Thanks Tiffany!!
Has anyone purchased these? Do you know if you get individual codes for each of the rentals (so I could purchase the $10 gift and then give individual codes to various teachers)? The website wasn’t clear when I looked yesterday…
Yes I just did today and used my email address. You then get sent individual codes to gift.
So is each code worth 1 night rental?
I did this for my coworkers for Christmas. I got a ton of compliments!
Maybe someone can clarify this for me. If I buy the 5 for 7.50 does that mean I get 5 separate codes? So I can get 5 teachers a gift and only spend 7.50? Thanks in advance
That is correct – they email you 5 codes. Use your email
Thank you
Thanks so much!!!
Where can I buy the cute popcorn boxes on the pic? Michaels?
Thanks for the great idea. Love it! 😊
Dollar Tree is where I found mine, but other stores may have them?
Thanks Lina! Will check it out. 😁
I’ve seen them at dollar tree
Party City has them. They have multiple sizes. I recently bought the small size for my son’s birthday party.
My Target sells them, pack of 2 for $1 @ the dollar spot…
How nice that I saw this. We were just discussing this exact idea at a ptc meeting last night. You made it easy for me to have a cute card to go with it!
Great but do u need to have red boxes around where u live or do they mail DVDs like net flicks?
Nope, gotta get them at a kiosk.
We don’t have red boxes where we live, do they also mail DVDs like Net Flicks does?
Lisa, no, Redbox does not have a mail delivery system. Your only option for use of these codes is to get them from the Redbox kiosk. My in-laws live in a pretty small town, and even they have a Redbox. Have you checked inside and outside of your local stores? They may be hidden. You can check: https://www.redbox.com/locations
If you don’t end up having one, I hope you get one soon!!
For all of u wonderful teachers out there, Thank u for all u do! First to reply, please post ur email and i will send u a VS code

So sweet! This is my 7th year teaching HS and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!!
Thank you so much! Teaching is a hard job, but it is also very rewarding! I know that I am making a difference in the lives of 19 very special little seven year olds!
I am a teacher, and I love this idea! I’m going to do this for my fellow teachers, who teach my own children. 🙂
Thanks! I just got back from buying my redbox supplies and just ordered my codes. I don’t have a local store with the buckets, so I’m putting 2 bags of popcorn and a big candy bar inside brown paper bags and will probably punch a hole in the top and tie with a red ribbon!
Do we have a printable like this If I am giving the teacher a DVD? Target has some for around $5, I would rather give her that than a code, thanks!
Your printable is cute! I wanted to print directly from Redbox with directions for the recipient…
I just went through all the steps (Dec. 2015). Redbox should have these directions on THEIR site but they don’t explain it.
Here’s what I did! At the bottom of the homepage, I clicked Redbox gifts. Clicked Buy Promo Codes. Chose the number of DVDs I wanted, entered myself as email recipient, and paid. When I got the email, I clicked on the link. That page showed me links to my 5 DVD codes. Then I clicked on each code and printed 5 separate documents.
Good news: When the document opened, it gave me the option to edit message/recipient & card design. It also said, Send as a Gift. But, I just printed mine.
When giving gifts, don’t forget your children’s bus driver. I’m sure they’d appreciate this during the holidays or for bus driver appreciation day.
When they go to the redbox, do they swipe their own debit/credit card? Was thinking about doing this for a couple of people, but didn’t know if the code was “attached” to your card info and charged you if it was late.
Yes, they have to swipe their own card. They then hit promo code at checkout and enter their code. Nothing is attached to your card.
Good to know. Thanks!
how do i get the printable cards??
Thanks so much! What a great idea. Hoping to use these as gift for lots of occasions in the future!
Nice! Thanks for stopping by 😀
This is perfect for the teacher appreciation gift I made this week. Thanks so much for the printable!!
Great! You’re welcome 😀
If I do the promo codes, I don’t have to have each recipient’s email address, right??
