I just want to say that I use raise frequently and they have great system. Only one time there were something wrong with the gift card that I ordered and they refunded my money. Keep in mind that the discount on the gift-cards is changing often, based on supply and demand. You can set alerts to let you know when a gift card with a certain discount becomes available. I would appreciate if you could use my refferal link: https://geta.raise.com/nnn. You will get $5 for your future purchase when you use my link.
They MAY refund the money depending on the time frame. But the embarrassment and inconvenience really isn’t worth it at all. I have had WAY too many issues. I would say that 12 out of the 20 cards I bought had issues and the time it took for the place of business to run my card several times, come back to me and either nicely say nothing was on the card or for some to act as if I was scamming, you can get a better deal elsewhere where someone else hasn’t sold their card to Raise waiting on a person to buy them so they themselves can use the card they sold. Beware when buying that this can happen and be prepared for the long and embarrassing process of getting a refund.
So far (knock on wood) I had no problem with them. I mostly buy giftcards for macys, kohls, jcp, baby dept etc. Most of them arrive with in minutes, other within hours.
I only once bought physical gift cards for cvs and babies r us, but they were find.
Out of the 22 giftcards I bought, I had trouble using one of them online. I contacted the customer service and they refunded me. I rarely but gift card before I have items in my shopping bag – that way I don’t get stuck with giftcards I don’t need. If you return items to the store, you get a physical gift card back – so I had no problems there either. When I first joined raise, they couldn’t verify my name and address and requested me to send them a copy of my id… That’s the only issue I had.
I just used a $200 Talbots gift card that cost me $130. They had to try three different things, and were just about to call corporate for help, but then they got it to work. Saving $70 was WELL worth waiting five minutes for them to figure it out.
Thank you Colin! My hubby just bought a $500 Pep Boys card for $419 and he has already used it to buy the parts he needed, and he is in shock that it worked, lol. Thank you so much for sharing these ways to save, it all ads up to more money for my family!
I don’t think yours was the same issue if they figured it out before calling corporate. My issue was that the people that sell their cards to Raise, keep checking to see if they sold them and when they do, they use them. I have had issues at stores and restaurants and the waiting time for all of them have been 45 minutes to an hour and a half of them making phone calls and then telling me to call Raise because the gift card has a zero balance. And Raise isn’t open on weekends or evenings so then I have to use other currency and lose my “discount” from my Raise purchase. When I finally get a response from Raise, they explain that someone else used it or they just don’t know what happened but they will get back to me. Followed by a day to 3 days before they refund. So yes, in your case, saving that much and being able to use it, awesome. But mine were usually $10 to $20 savings on $100 to $150 gift cards and it was just embarrassing of the back and fourth at the restaurants and then losing the discount and then the hassle. And Raise does NOTHING to compensate for your time and loss of the discount because they feel they went above and beyond by refunding my money for a bad gift card they sold me.
Please read post. “Feel free to post your links on your OWN Facebook and Twitter pages”. We need to use Collins link.
If you are using quotes then it actually states, “.. in this post are my referral links. Keep in mind that you can also create your own referral link to share with friends, family, and on your own Facebook / Twitter pages.” FYI 😉
heading of this post might be a little misleading– should it say “…for $85 EACH”? or should it say “…Kohl’s, Southwest Airlines, OR Disney Store card..”
not all 3 included for $85 total, right?
or maybe i’m missing something when i look at Collin’s example? i think the gift cards are around $85 each.
I thought the same thing! Lol if you read the post it explains its 85 for each gc.
Sorry for the confusion! Yes, each gift card is $85. 🙂
Can you use the disney store gift card to pay on a disney trip? Just wondering before I buy!
Yep! I did it earlier this month 🙂
So I can use a Disney store gift card and use at their parks or cruise?
Disney gift cards can be used to pay for trips and cruises. Disney Store gift cards can only be used at disneystore.com.
It’s best to read the details of each gift card you are going to purchase. Some are different then others. Raise gives you the fine print for each one before you choose to buy.
You can use Disney gift cards to pay towards your Disney trip . I have done it in the past . I also used my Chase Disney points towards many of my trips to Disney . I hope this will answer your question . Enjoy your trip to Disney .
Dang! I just booked flights with southwest on Tuesday. May get some Disney cards if they work for the park
I used someone elses link. Maybe you can you mine?
thanks! https://geta.raise.com/me1
I LOVE Raise! Why wouldn’t you buy discounted gift cards for things your already going to purchase? Starbucks or Applebees are always going to be handy! I personally just recently used Raise to buy zumiez gift cards at a discount in combination with a great bogo 50% off deal to buy a few pairs of TOMS for under $30 including shipping & tax (each originally $60)
I totally suggest it and would greatly appreciate if anyone used my link to join 🙂
