I know last time with this printer and the Canon camera deal that included a rebate people weary of the deal because they didn’t know the company. My husband and I decided to try it last time and we got our rebate back in full with no problems. Just thought this might be helpful to any curious about the company.

Just curious, how long did it take to get the rebate?

      • Jordan

I don’t remember exact timing however I do remember it coming back earlier than expected. Much earlier. Also love the printer. Very user friendly in my book.

Ordered! Thanks, Jordan, for letting us know you got your rebate.

Oh that’s great Jordan! Thanks so much for sharing.

I have this printer, and it prints high quality pictures.

I don’t have this exact printer but have a canon pixma. I love it and I bought it from this company adorama and had a great experience.

It is saying that my shipping is $68.70. IS there a code for free shipping?

    • Shopper

No code, expedited ship should show as free, may have to select it. Also only works for a physical address, not p.o. box etc.

      • Niki

That’s where the problem was, I had to change my shipping address to my Mom’s address. Thanks for your help! 🙂

This printer does an amazing job (even on the 13×19), ink refills are not too expensive and the rebate comes quickly. The downside is the printer is quite large. Huge, really. Make sure you have a place for it! I have it sitting on top of a 2 drawer lateral file cabinet

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great tip! Glad to hear how well it works!

For anyone considering this deal, a couple things to consider …

Adorama is not a “no name” company as I have heard some commenters call it in the past. It is one of a handful of very well known and reliable retailers in professional imaging circles. This rebate is totally legit and I’ve done it myself in the past. Also purchased a >$1000+ SLR body within the last year through Adorama.

This is not a standard inkjet printer. It is physically HUGE and prints on up to 13×19 inch paper. In fact that’s the paper you’re getting with it. It is a decent quality photo printer, not for coupons and documents at all. It has 8 ink cartridges and a set of refills will run you upwards of $100, with individual cartridges running $15-$20.

This is a great deal to buy the printer, print a bunch of high quality photos for framing, gifts, scrapbooks, whatever … and then chuck the whole thing in the garbage because they’ll offer the same deal next year. Not exactly eco-friendly, but that’s the budget-friendly option.

I guess I should clarify that new, Canon brand inks will run you that price. Off brand or refilled cartridges are notably cheaper, but Canon printers are notorious for being picky and having heads fail especially with non-OEM inks.

If I get one the rebate says it ends the 31- what if it doesn’t ship in time? I’d hate to get it and miss he rebate

It just says that printer must be purchases by 10/31. It must be postmarked by 11/30.

I highly recommend this printer and this deal. I purchased it with a similar rebate a year ago. I got the rebate money back without any problems and I totally LOVE the printer! It is extremely high quality and will give you far better prints than going to cvs, walmart, etc. for photos. I am still blown away by how great the prints look.

I haven’t checked this rebate, but when I did mine I was able to opt for the luster paper which was also part of the rebate instead of the semi-gloss. The luster paper produces a more matte finish for no-glare. The printer can do borderless (all the way to the edges), and the larger paper sizes are awesome for things like kids’ science fair projects where they need a long title bar, etc. I am super pleased that I took the leap to a printer like this. My only caveats are that it is heavy and huge so make sure you have a sturdy spot to put it, and the wireless was a beast to set up and unreliable to the point that we finally hardwired it into our home network.

The good thing about 8 cartridges is that you only have to replace the one(s) that you’ve emptied. I will only purchase Canon brand cartridges (bad experience in previous printer with generics), but I buy them at Staples by price-matching Amazon and pay with gift cards from Discover Cashback program which gets you extra $5, and that qualifies me for the recycling rebate at Staples so I get money back from the empties that I save up. I don’t burn through too much ink because I only do projects and prints with this printer and I have a great Brother B&W laser printer for coupons and regular day-to-day needs.

Did this deal last time and I am thrilled with the quality of the pictures I print. It did not take long to get the Am Ex rebate gift card. I only use this printer for photos or photo type projects. It is a lot bigger than I was picturing. I also replace ink at Staples and recycle my cartridges there.

HELP!!! I ordered this from my phone the other day, so I was not able to print the rebate form at the time. Now the rebate form is only for $200 not $250! Can anyone please email me the pdf that says $250? Thanks.

    • Amy H.

OH, ha. Nevermind. Just saw that it is two pages, and the one we ordered was on the second page. Oopsies. 😉
