Don’t buy – I bought one of these last time to use as a “personal item” when I fly. The bag’s zipper didn’t even make it through the first layover.
It also had a very chemical smell which made me nervous.

They smell so so so bad. Bad enough to cause a headache when wearing on your shoulder.
I used to get annoyed at comments like these, because I felt they were exaggerations and I thought that if it DID have the chemical smell then air it out, simple! Until I bought one product online (not this purse) and I noticed the smell instantly. I aired it out in near my balcony window while I was sitting on my couch watching tv. For 10-15 minutes, the smell lingered and then I started having a headache. I’m not even meticulous about these things and I don’t care about cheap China stuff, I buy what’s the cheapest sometimes even with knowing it’s not of good quality. But after that incident I now know I should be a little bit concerned with products with chemical smell because it does affect one’s health. It doesn’t end with just the smell.

I ordered two of these before. The zippers broke after very minimal use and they smell of chemicals horribly. I asked for my money back which they did but would not recommend these.

You are lucky. Bought one..horrible smell and bad zipper. Sure, they sent another one, but exact same issues. Tossed them both.

I bought last time as well. It looks cute but it also had a very strong smell that filled up my entire bedroom. The material on the outside has a small rip already. Im not to sure the straps would hold up to a heavy binder. Just wanted to give my honest opinions to my fellow hip2savers

Please think twice before purchasing items that are cheap and disposable. The chemicals used to make cheap products are harmful to our health and the environment. Not to mention the impact it has on the landfills. Save your $5 plus tax.

I bought one in yellow last time. No smell and it works fine. I’ve only used it on limited basis and with light weight items. But I’d recommend trying it out. The bag is pretty cute too.

I purchased a red one last time this deal was offered. Mine didn’t have the smell and has held up well. I don’t have a coupon binder, but I carry a large wallet style one and it fits great. Not to mention I usually end up carrying my boy’s stuff…my bag has definitely been put to the weight test.

Not $5 but my cvs had as part of its Christmas clearance a similar looking bag- $19.99 so $10 after 50’/. Christmas discount. If it’s still there at 75’/. I’m buying It. Cute, not Christmassy (beige with a black little coin purse) and no chemical smell-

I got this bag the smell of it was horrible but it was cute took it to work cause I am a nurse and needed something for my stuff and I will never buy again
I have this bag in 3 colors. I use it to store items in my trunk. Pink for store coupons that don’t fit in my binder sleeves, purple for cds and mp3 cables, and black for scarves and gloves. It had a mild smell but I tossed them into a dryer, some bounce sheets, on low tumble. Smell gone.

Sears had reversible totes in adorable colors for $12.99 and they don’t look cheap and don’t have a smell. You can get them cheaper if you have points and/or a coupon.
Walmart has the exact same ones for 10.00

I’ve purchased this bag a few months ago and it’s held up great! I’m pretty picky about smells and mine didn’t have one when I opened it.

I bought one last time they were posted. I like it just fine. The color is more blue than mint but it is pretty sturdy and has held up well. I use it to carry stuff back and forth to work.
I received my bag today. (I ordered it before I read the negative reviews). I am pleased to say…it doesn’t smell!! Can’t wait to see how it holds up!!
