How are the quality of these serving sets? Do they truly last long or do they rust easily?
They last forever! I’ve got some that were my moms and well over 25 years old, they’re in exclellent shape
Oh yes, if you want lasting utensils- you can NOT go wrong with Oneida.
I remember a while ago Collin had posted a deal about their outlet sale… I purchased 3 sets of silverware that were a “very good deal”. When I received them, I received 3 sets with 2 different patterns and the silverware was very low quality…When I called, they let me keep the items and returned my money but It still makes me nervous to order from them again….
Darn. Sorry to hear that Rachel. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Like Rachel, we took advantage of the “very good deal” on two sets. Received them in a timely manner and were what we ordered. However, like Rachel, we felt that they were poor quality. Called Oneida. We received the credit and they also let us keep the items. The set is going into the recycling as all the utensils (spoons and forks also) have sharp sides and painfully cut into the palms of our hands. My husband and I may not have been impressed by the quality of the merchandise, but we were definitely impressed with the courteous efficiency of their customer service department. Will give them another try.
I have had a set, not these ones, for almost 20 years and they are as nice as when I got them. We use them every day
Oh awesome! Good to know!
This is a good brand they last a really long time.
Sweet! Thanks for your review Casey!
I picked out the Oneida Julliard pattern years ago (late 1980’s) when I was still single and told my family that’s what I wanted for my birthday and Christmas. Sometimes I’d get a place setting and sometimes an individual piece. But each time I was getting a gift I wanted and building a flatware set. I started using it as my everyday flatware. Now married ten years, it’s what my husband and I use everyday and on special occasions. I never wanted sterling silver flatware like other girls were picking out. The Julliard goes in the dishwasher and looks fantastic after all these years.
That’s great! Thanks for sharing Theresa!
Set was originally $600. Huh? No deal to me
I have the frost pattern since 2003 and when we registered at Dillard’s place settings or serving sets were $30 each so I probably have $400 worth of silverware. We’ve not damaged anything and prior to marriage I had my parents’ wedding Oneida set from 1972. Think a knife or two had broken over the years but it was 30 years old and still perfectly fine.
Glad to hear it Traci!
I have the”Marquette” pattern. I bought it in the late 1980’s when I got married. It has held up well and I still love it. This is a great sale. I have had to replace a few pieces over the years only because they “disappeared” on me. Might order some more fill in pieces with this sale.
Glad to hear how well they hold up!
