Got it. I started a bee garden last year. It was so successful it turns out I was growing Bees.
Found out the hard way that bumble bees nest underground……
Whoever gets a seed pack better use them or give them away. I am growing plants 2 bring bees in. I didn’t get the freebie but committed to get another plant to plant.
I don’t think anyone would submit for a little pack of wildflower seeds without the intention of using them! Goodness!

I’m just wondering if these are GMO’d seeds? I know Bayer is one of the worlds largest owners of seeds behind Monsanto, Land O Lakes and a few others.. It’s such a great idea but you have to wonder if there’s something else to it when you are number 7 in the world in seed ownership and number 1 in the world for pesticide sales. I mean,it’s a nice gesture and all but it does make you question if there’s something of a greater benefit to them??!
Unfortunately alot of the seeds you buy now are all GMO, unless it specifically says. You can search the internet and find companies that only sell heirloom seeds, that is what we did for our garden and then we save the seeds from the vegetables and flowers we grow each year. It also helps that we are beekeepers and every year our garden, flower garden, and grape vines pretty much explodes. 🙂
I agree Kami,that’s what we do too. I only buy seeds from Territorial Seeds which is such a lovely company to buy from and their seeds/plants are of the highest quality. It’s so unfortunate anymore that we are all owned by a handful of corporations and most people don’t even know/understand that.
I was wondering this too! According to their FAQ section, these seeds aren’t genetically modified or treated with insecticide. Requested my freebie – thanks, Collin!
You make an excellent point Amanda. I would think that these seeds were modified to attract more harmful bugs than usual in the hope that we will buy pesticides to get rid of them. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I wouldn’t put it past them to do that. I also think that some seeds are designed to slowly poison the good insects to extinction. Lol, like I said, it all sounds crazy, but you never know. They have so much technology that we know nothing about.
C, I am so with you on this! I could talk to people like you all day long b/c you “Get IT”! When i tell people what I think they look at me like I’m a nut and then I explain to them how that is exactly what “they” want to happen. They then really think I’ve lost my marbles;)
Thank you, Amanda for writing about it. More people need to know and care about it. I thought it was ironic that Bayer cares about the bees after being accused of killing them with the pesticide use. They also wanted to sue Europe for banning their pesticides.
FeedaBee seeds are not GMO. 🙂 Monsanto is making bee robots to remove our bee population so my guess would be that this company is not working alongside Monsanto or Bayer.
What company are you speaking of? If you’re talking about the company that is sending out these packets,Bayer is responsible for there distribution……..

See SARA,Kami and C……if you read through this entire thread you’ll see what’s wrong with everything. One of us posts something in regards to how these evil companies are destroying our bee population/food chain and someone right after posts “Just signed up for my pack!”. No one reads anything unless it’s something about Ben and Jen or Kanye and Kim. The real information that they need to be reading is non-sense to them,hence why the big corporations are winning in every way. They count on people not paying attention,in fact,I just read an article the other day on how they are using mind control to dumb down the population so it can keep them within their parameters. This stuff is real people,I just wish everyone would get their heads out of the clouds and WAKE UP to what’s really going on,right before their eyes. Do it before it’s too late,it’s coming and you better be prepared! I know whoever reads this is going to think,”Man,this woman is a nut job” and disregard everything I have written,that’s what they want,for people to think that the people who are spewing the truth are the nut jobs. I am only telling you this so you have the information to seek your own opinion,not the one they want you to have. Read up on The New World Order,The Illumininati……just for a start. Amanda and C, couldnt agree more. And for any of you who are unsure, just google Monsanto and the dark act to learn more about how they are bayer operate. Although, Im sure they also have reps monitoring this page who will probably give some long speel on how everything is “safe”.
Thank you! I bought a big bag last year got butterflies and hummingbirds. I ended up getting tons of bees instead. The flowers very beautiful and I was very pleased. 🙂
