FREE Entrance to National Parks (April 16th-24th)
In celebration of National Park Week, you can take advantage of FREE Entrance to national parks each day from April 16th through the 24th! This is a perfect opportunity to relax with your family and get those kiddos out of the house for an outdoor adventure 😉 ! Check out the list of participating parks here.
Other entrance fee–free dates in 2016:
August 25th-28th: National Park Service Birthday
September 24th: National Public Lands Day
November 11th: Veterans Day

Anyone with a permanent disability ( doesn’t have to be 100% for vets) can get an Access Pass which gets you into national parks for free. Also there’s still the 4th graders get in free pass but you have to print the form in advance.

The Forest Service, the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, USACE, and Bureau of Reclamation honor the Access Pass at sites where Entrance or Standard Amenity Fees (Day use fees) are charged.

Also, if you have a child in 4th grade this school year, visit this site: https://www.everykidinapark.gov/ for a pass to get into nearly all national parks through September 1, 2016 and the best part is accompanying family members are free too with this pass! 🙂

That is definitely Glacier National Park in Montana! The picture is specifically of Wild Goose Island in the middle of Saint Mary Lake. 🙂

Thanks for the heads up Collin! My husband and I changed our plans from a picnic in a park to visiting Tonto National Monument (cliff dwellings) In Roosevelt, AZ tmrw! So excited! Always wanted to go and free is awesome! Plus a 3 hour guided tour we get to go on!
